Here you go,

  1. The very first point is related to capturing all of the tasks, ideas, and commitments in a trusted system. Majority of people do not like writing so there is a high chance of forgetting with the time. It is good to write down everything that has your attention, whether it's in your personal or professional life.

  2. In the very next step after capturing the tasks and ideas on to the paper, you need to clarify that what needs to be done about the item that means to you. The writer suggests that it helps to determine the desired outcome and the next actionable step for each item.

  3. The third step is about organising the commitments and tasks into categories and lists. The author told few important organising list ideas to organise each item very well such as Waiting For (tasks dependent on others), Next Actions (the next physical action required), Someday/Maybe (ideas or tasks to be considered in the future), Projects (larger outcomes requiring multiple steps).

  4. In the fourth step, keep on check the lists you make in the third step as reviewing and updating on time to keep everything to relevant. All of this will be a great help to stay informed with your commitments and choose what to prioritise next.

  5. In the fifth step, the author talks about the engagement that engage with the appropriate action based on time availability, energy levels, and context once you have organised and reviewed your tasks. The main purpose behind this step is to keep focused on important tasks with efficient manner.
