Marzo ha sido un mes pésimo para nosotros, los cubanos, y nos preguntamos, cómo será en los meses de verano. Los apagones, cada día más largos y angustiantes, nos agotan física y mentalmente. Para los que llegamos del trabajo no tener fluido eléctrico, acompañado de la falta de conexión a internet, los mosquitos, es un reto, y eso que no tengo niños pequeños, que para ellos debe de ser aún peor, y es que tengo recuerdos así de mi infancia, preguntándole cada 5 minutos a mis padres cuando regresaba la corriente.

Al no tener conexión, a penas llega algo al techo de mi casa, donde he tenido que pasar la mayor parte de las tardes y noches. Sé que es muy difícil encontrarle un lado lindo a esta situación, pero en mi caso observar los atardeceres, los cambios de colores en el cielo, acompañando estos momentos con palomitas de maíz, y mis gatos, que siempre me acompañan. Espero pronto se acabe, esta tortura, y poder dormir una madrugada entera, y no llegar cansada al trabajo.

March has been a lousy month for us Cubans and we wonder what it will be like in the summer months. The blackouts, longer and longer every day, exhaust us physically and mentally. For those of us who come home from work, not having electricity, along with the lack of internet connection, the mosquitoes, is a challenge, and even though I don't have small children, it must be even worse for them, and I have memories of my childhood, asking my parents every 5 minutes when the power would come back on.

As I have no connection, hardly anything reaches the roof of my house, where I have had to spend most of my afternoons and evenings. I know that it is very difficult to find a nice side to this situation, but in my case, watching the sunsets, the changing colors in the sky, accompanying these moments with popcorn, and my cats, who always accompany me. I hope soon this torture will be over, and I will be able to sleep a whole morning, and not arrive tired to work.
