My travel story

On 4th of November, I travelled to Osun state, the west part of Nigeria and the journey was really an amazing one.

I arrived at the park by 6am, I paid and i was given a ticket, by around 7am, my best friend came around and stayed with me in the park, he bought me snacks and lots of things to make me strong, since it was my first time going on a far distance journey, yet I had no appetite to consume it which was unlike me. I was neither sad nor happy. I just couldn't explain my feelings that day Other prospective corp members travelling to Osun state arrived, we exchanged pleasantries.

At about 10am the bus still didn't arrived, but buses arrived for other corp members going to other states but to Osun no bus. I was not bothered though becos to me I was thing is a 5 or 6 hours drive not until someone said is about 16-18 hours and they started complaining still I paid no attention to the none arrival of bus, my best friend was still around so to me everything was okay.

At 3pm, no bus came for us, so the corp members shouted shouting, insulting the management, some even went ahead to collect their money, to me I was not still bothered not until my best friend commented, saying is dangerous to travel at night that he needs to speak with the management and I told him to go ahead so we went to meet the management and the story we had was that, the people going to Osun state are more than one bus so they want to arranged for another bus.

We related the information to the angry corp members and they started curses and abusing the management, I went back to my seat and my best friend was so surprised about my nob involvement in all the talks and eagerness, still I was calm. I prayed in me that God should do His will. I couldn't shout like others but I reported it to God.

By 5pm, two buses arrived, and by then my best friend had took me out to buy some snacks for me again since it was in the evening, someone called to informed me about the bus arrival and I rushed down with my best friend and getting them, other were already seated so I was given an uncomfortable position to sit, my best friend prayed for me and the other corp members were surprised that he was not coming with us but they were happy and they wave him goodbye.

At that point in time, I realised what was happening, I became sad and lonely, yet I couldn't cry...

...to be continued...

Hehe, life away from home is like that. Still remembered how my journey to the northern part of the country was. Things ain't really as we thoughts from the other side.
Glad you went safely.
