You can read the details in this post. Colors and Technology are this week's themes. Actually I was going to choose technology, but I thought I have more to write about colors.

Colors mean different things to everyone. Some people like black the most and others like white. My favorite color is turquoise. Turquoise always, always reminds me of beautiful things. It reminds me of the sky, a clear sea, birds chirping. Since when is turquoise my favorite color? I've loved turquoise for years, for as long as I can remember. Turquoise reminds me not only of these things, but also of ambition, struggle and never giving up. The story of this goes back to 2008. The 2008 European Football Championship. Come on Incublus, what does football have to do with it?

In this 2008 tournament, Turkey started very badly. We lost the first match to Portugal and then we had a match against Switzerland, one of the host countries. Switzerland took the lead and Turkey scored a goal in the second half to equalize. In the 90th minute Turkey scored a goal and won the match and people thought it was a coincidence. In the next game the opponent was the Czech Republic and they also went 2-0 up against Turkey. Turkey never gave up the fight and managed to win the match by scoring 3 goals after 75 minutes. One of Turkey's jerseys at that time was turquoise and since that day turquoise is also a symbol of hope for me.

One of my favorite colors is orange. We can never forget some of the things we experienced as children. I don't remember what I ate yesterday, but I never forget something I had with my mother when I was 5. I don't forget my primary school teacher scolding me, I don't forget that when I was 7 or 8 years old I heated the inside of my jacket with an electric heater before going to school at the crack of dawn on a cold winter day. All these memories remind me of the color orange because it wasn't the most comfortable time of my life and I wasn't very happy when I was experiencing these memories. But when I think about it now, there is a sweet bitter sensation just like dark chocolate. And that reminds me of the color orange.

One of my memories of orange is my orange hooded jacket. I remember my uncle bought it for me one summer day and it was my favorite thing to wear, I don't know why, but I thought it suited me very well. It's weird to talk about, but most of us have our favorite clothes we wore as kids, right? I hope I'm not alone in this.

Turkuaz bana her zaman ama her zaman güzel şeyler anımsatır. Gökyüzünü, berrak bir denizi, kuş cıvıltılarını anımsatır. Turkuaz ne zamandan beri favori rengim? Yıllardır, kendimi bildim bileli turkuaz rengini çok seviyorum. Turkuaz bana sadece bunları değil aynı zamanda hırsı, mücadeleyi ve asla vazgeçmemeyi de hatırlatır. Bunun hikayesi 2008'e dayanıyor. 2008 Avrupa Futbol Şampiyonasına. Hadi ama Incublus, futbolun konumuzla ilgisi ne?

2008 yılında düzenlenen bu turnuvada Türkiye oldukça kötü başladı. İlk maçı Portekiz'e kaybettik ve sonrasında da ev sahibi ülkelerden İsviçre ile maçımız vardı. İsviçre öne geçti ve Türkiye ikinci yarı bir gol atıp durumu eşitliğe getirdi. Dakika 90'da Türkiye bir gol atarak maçı kazandı ve insanlar bunun bir tesadüf olduğunu düşündü. Bir sonraki maçta rakip Çek Cumhuriyeti'ydi ve onlar da Türkiye'ye karşı 2-0 öne geçtiler. Türkiye asla mücadeleyi bırakmadı ve dakika 75'ten sonra tam 3 gol atarak maçı kazanmayı başardı. Lafı fazla uzatmayacağım o dönemde Türkiye'nin formalarından bir tanesi turkuazdı ve o günden beri turkuaz bende aynı zamanda umudun da sembolü.

En sevdiğim renklerden biri de turuncu. Çocukken yaşadığımız bazı şeyleri asla unutamayız. Dün ne yediğimi hatırlamadığım oluyor ancak 5 yaşında annemle yaşadığım bir şeyi asla unutmuyorum. İlkokul öğretmenimin beni azarladığını, 7-8 yaşındayken okula sabahın köründe soğuk bir kış gününde gitmeden önce elektrikli ısıtıcıda ceketimin içini ısıttığımı unutmuyorum. Bütün bu anılar bana turuncu rengini hatırlatıyor çünkü hayatımın en konforlu zamanları değildi ve bu anıları yaşarken de çok mutlu değildim. Ama şimdi düşündüğümde tıpkı bitter çikolata gibi tatlı bir acı hissiyat var. Bu da bana turuncu rengi anımsatıyor.

Turuncu ile ilgili anılarımdan biri de turuncu kapüşonlu ceketim. Bir yaz günü amcam almıştı diye hatırlıyorum ve giymeyi en çok sevdiğim şeydi, neden bilmiyorum ama bana çok yakıştığını da düşünüyordum. Anlatması garip ama birçoğumuzun çocukken giydiği favori kıyafetleri vardır değil mi? Umarım bu konuda yalnız değilimdir.

Peki sizin favori renginiz nedir? Ya da size renkleri hatırlatan anılarınız var mı? Bunu anlatan bir terim vardı ama hatırlayamadım.
