A gift inspired by Miu

Next week is the birthday of the youngest member of my family, our beloved Mila. She is a precious little girl who has come to fill our lives with light and joy, and she is now in her first year of life. I thought about giving treats to our princess, which is one of the things we enjoy most during childhood. But I wanted to do it in a package that she would find attractive and that I could make with my own hands, so I thought of recreating the cute character of Miu.
To make it, I used the following materials: a first-use disposable plastic water bottle, scissors, pencil, foami cutouts, glue and a pair of crazy eyes.

La próxima semana es el cumpleaños de la miembro más joven de mi familia, de nuestra querida Mila. Ella es una niña preciosa que ha llegado a llenar nuestras vidas de luz y alegría, y ya cumple su primer año de vida. Pensé en regalar golosinas a nuestra princesa, que es de las cosas que más disfrutamos durante la infancia. Pero quería hacerlo en un envase que le resultara atractivo y que yo pudiera elaborar con mis propias manos, por lo que se me ocurrió hacerlo recreando el simpático personaje de Miu.
Para su elaboración utilicé los siguientes materiales: una botella plástica de agua desechable de primer uso, tijeras, lápiz, recortes de foami, goma de pegar y un par de ojos locos.

To make this craft, the first step is to cut the bottom of the disposable plastic water bottle with the scissors. We do this after sanitizing it properly, and it is an excellent way to take advantage of this type of material that has such an extensive decomposition process.

Para elaborar esta manualidad, el primer paso consiste en cortar con la tijera el fondo de la botella plástica de agua desechable. Esto lo hacemos luego de higienizarla correctamente, y resulta una excelente forma de aprovechar este tipo de material que tiene un proceso de descomposición tan extenso.

Taking as a measure the bottom of the water bottle, we make Miu's template, drawing on the foami sheet a round with the ears. Once this step is finished, we proceed to cut this figure with the scissors, being very careful to avoid damaging the lines. In the same way, two transversal cuts are made in the middle of the template, which will later be used to insert the candies.

Tomando como medida el fondo de la botella de agua, hacemos la plantilla de Miu, dibujando en la lámina de foami un redondel con las orejas. Terminado este paso, procedemos a cortar esta figura con la tijeras, con mucho cuidado para evitar dañar los trazos. De igual forma, se hacen dos cortes transversales en el medio de la plantilla, que luego servirán para introducir las golosinas.
