The House of Habano [en/esp]

One of the decorative elements that I most enjoy seeing in places is wood, I feel that it gives a touch of distinction and elegance to any place, and manages to give a sense of uniformity, without being boring. So since I discovered La Casa del Habano, which I share with you today, I felt very much at ease.

Uno de los elementos decorativos que más disfruto ver en los lugares es la madera, siento que le da un toque de distinción y elegancia a cualquier sitio, y logra dar una sensación de uniformidad, sin ser aburrido. Así que desde que descubrí La Casa del Habano, que hoy les comparto, me sentí muy a gusto.

When I get to know a new place I try to capture its essence by through all the elements that make it up; and contrary to what I thought, not only my eyes were delighted with the design of the place, but also my sense of smell, because the smell of wood there was intense. I saw that there are smoke extractors, so the customer can enjoy his cigar there, but I really don't know how they manage to preserve that aroma.
At the entrance there is a tobacco twisting table, which in Cuba, more than a trade, is considered an art, and even a tradition in many families.

Cuando conozco un sitio nuevo trato de captar su esencia mediante todos los elementos que lo integran; y al contrario de lo que pensé, no solo mi vista se deleitó con el diseño del lugar, también mi sentido del olfato, porque el olor a madera allí era intenso. Independientemente de que vi que existen extractores de humo, pues el cliente que lo desee puede degustar su habano allí, realmente no sé cómo logran conservar ese aroma.
En la entrada se encuentra una mesa de torcer tabaco, lo cual en Cuba, más que un oficio se considera un arte, e incluso una tradición en muchas familias.

Most of the glass panes are made up of an image that resembles the leaf of a Havana cigar. The walls that remain free are painted white and decorated with pictures showing scenes of the old tobacco factories and warehouses.

Gran parte de los cristales están conformados por una imagen que semeja la hoja de un habano. Las paredes que quedan libres están pintadas de blanco y adornadas con cuadros que muestran escenas de las antiguas fábricas y bodegas de tabaco.

The furniture is composed of small tables with marble tops, and 4 chairs of a more intense green. Everything in the place leads you to the cigar theme, it is a very well thought out design. Even the ashtrays, which I did not notice to photograph more closely, are also shaped like tobacco leaves.
In the center of the main hall, there is a large display case with a variety of high quality Havana Club rums, which can even be paired with the different types of cigars. The lights of the dichroic lamps in this room are yellow, but the lighting is still good because of all the glassware in the building. However, that is the perception during the day; I think that at night the lounge would look a little dark for my taste.

El mobiliario está compuesto por mesas pequeñas con las sobres de mármol, y 4 sillas de un verde más intenso. Todo en el lugar te conduce al tema del habano, es un diseño muy bien pensado. Incluso los ceniceros, que no me percaté de fotografiarlos más de cerca, tienen forma también de la hoja del tabaco.
En el centro del salón principal, hay una gran vitrina con variedades de rones muy reconocidos por su alta calidad de la marca Havana Club, que incluso se pueden maridar con los diferentes tipos de habanos. Las luces de las lámparas dicroicas de este salón son amarillas, pero igual la iluminación es buena por toda la cristalería que posee el inmueble. No obstante esa es la percepción durante el día; creo que en las noches el salón se vería un tanto oscuro para mi gusto.

It consists of two reserved lounges where, in my opinion, the most attractive thing is that you can enjoy the view of Havana, a city full of buildings and charms.
In the first one, one of the walls is adorned with photos of the most prestigious Habanos brands we own. The second is a little smaller but just as cozy, and is decorated with a bottle of Havana Club Máximo rum, which is one of the most exclusive in our country because its composition contains some of Cuba's oldest and most refined reserves.

Consta de dos salones reservados donde lo más atractivo, desde mi criterio, es que se puede disfrutar de la vista de La Habana, una ciudad llena de edificios y encantos.
En el primero, una de las paredes está adornada con las fotos de las más prestigiosas marcas de Habanos que poseemos. El segundo es un poco más pequeño pero igual de acogedor, y está decorada con una botella de ron Havana Club Máximo, que es de los más exclusivos en nuestro país porque en su composición tiene de las reservas más antiguas y refinadas de Cuba.

I found very nice a big black vase that has an open flower with many petals in relief. The bartender explained to me, that although it was not the main product of the place, the vase and all the works of art that have been used as part of the decoration of the place are for sale, so if any customer falls in love with them, they can take them home.

Encontré muy bonito un gran jarrón negro que tiene impregnado, a relieve, una flor abierta con muchos pétalos. El barman me explicó, que aunque no era el producto fundamental del lugar, el jarrón y todas las obras de arte que se han usado como parte de la decoración del lugar están en venta, por lo que si algún cliente se enamora de ellas, puede llevarlas a su casa.
