¡Hola, espero la estén pasando bien!
Hi, I hope you are having a good time!

Before choosing a character, there is a previous analysis. I usually draw them in a very simple way, to see the figures and shapes that make up the character. Once I have the reference drawing/sketch and the shapes, I analyse the most complicated parts of the character. Here appear the points that I don't know, so I have to go researching or vice versa I learn new points and then I apply them in a character where I highlight those points.

Materiales /materials:

  • Hilos de algodón (4 hebras) / Cotton thread (4 strands)
  • crochet 2 mm
  • tijera / scissor
  • aguja lanera / wool needle
  • ojos de seguridad 7mm/ security eyes 7mm
  • napa siliconada / silicone coating
  • hilo de bordar / embroidery thread
  • alfileres con cabeza / headed pins
  • lápiz / pencil
  • borrador / eraser
papel o cuaderno / paper or notebook

Proceso/ process:

Pixie ice has a tricky part and it's the pixie hair. Personally I love this type of hair. I usually start weaving at the feet (fig. 1), I think it's because from there I take a look at the whole anatomy if I'm creating a pattern. If I have a previous pattern then I start with the easiest parts to weave, in this case it can be the arms and the head.

Little by little I form the body (fig. 2). The head and hair are knitted separately, this makes it easier to manipulate the embroidery of the face (fig. 3). Once the face is facing the front, I place the arms (fig. 4) and finally the wings (fig. 5).

¡Y eso es todo!,

¡…Hasta la próxima!
See you next time!

Dato curioso: Ice Pixie es el personaje número 3 del tipo agua que he tejido / Ice Pixie is the 3rd water type character I have knitted.

Thank you very much. The good thing about the amigurumi technique is to bring the designed images into the real world, good vibes!

I bought a book about it years ago but I couldn't understand the instructions. I even asked a friend who crochets (I primarily am a knitter), and she didn't know what they were trying to say, either, lol, so at least it wasn't just me. One of these days I need to look for a tutorial online.
