Frozen In Time for 15 Years

frozenintime_b.jpg

Haven't been doing this type of photoshopping lately. Creatures and kaleidoscopemandalas are so different, they practically make themselves as I just fiddle something. Well, at least kaleidosmandalas are. Creaturemaking takes a bit more effort. I at least have to have an idea and where to go from there.

Anyway, I've had these two "almost finished" art pieces in my forgotten file since the year... oh gosh... 2005 I think. So after 15 years I finally decided to tackle them again. Especially the dragonish character has been bothering me. It has roared and roared in the back of my mind that I should continue working on it. So finally I did.

And as you can see, the first image is what I got out of these two old things. I've tokenized it in NFT Showroom. Along with my older works. Or should I call this old-new. 15 years of forgetting and lazyness. You know the thing "I'll do this little thing first, before I continue with this one"? Yes. That happened.

My art explanations scream CAN'T THINK OF NOTHING, I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO WRITE HERE! Still I write something about the art. Although I never want to. It is what it is, shit or not, bad or not, useless or not. You all know the process. It goes: "Oh can't wait this is what I want to do with this, my idea is sooooo good. Almost finished! ...but this is not right, it looks stupid and blunt and dull and there's no idea in it, let me try something else so that it looks better, move that there and perhaps little color change and AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH! I hate this! now it's even worse! What the hell am I doing! I'm not an artist! I can't draw, I can't illustrate, I can't photoshop, I have nothing in my head! My eyes! My eyes! I'm going blind! This is the worst shitart I've ever done! I just... can I still save it? If I change this and make it blurrier and... okay, that will do, I have to let it go and just chill."

That process.

I wonder if any other artists suffer that same thing.

Like these artists that are now in my collection. I mean, not the artists but their artwork. "NFT Crack" by Richard F. Yates @richardfyates and collaborative work of @juliakponsford, @soundwavesphoton and @elgeko We came in peace sold by Elgeko.

Do they ever suffer "this is shit, I am shit, the world is shit" syndrome?

And I also wonder if it might be so that every piece of art that I buy, I also get a little piece of the artist too with it? So basically I could say that I did buy a piece of the artists who made these. That's a disturbing thought.

Looking forward buying more art and growing my collection. When I get more HIVE. It seems that I'm poor as I lack huge piles of HIVE.

Mom, send money, I'm lost in digital art world and the only way to get myself out of it is to buy myself out! HELP!

I also did the unthinkable and put that piece or (f)art in a mug and a bag.
Also available in posters. <-- Commercial voice.

"Mom, next year I'm joining a cult that chants from sunrise to sunset Rick Astley's Never Gonna Give You Up."

I will probably last 15 minutes in it. I wonder what I'm gonna do the rest of the year 2021. Perhaps sleep.

Because most nights my art doesn't let me.

Sleep.
