Stereotypical Aliens

This was the conversation between me and my brain.

I: Now think of an alien. A creature out of this universe. It can be anything you can imagine! It doesn't have to look like any creature from this world, it doesn't have to have the same proportions, the same amount of limbs, it doesn't have to be solid or even carbon based being. It doesn't have to think alike, it doesn't have to talk like us. You understand?

Brain: Yeeeeees.

I: Okay, lets start with it's form or torso if you like. It doesn't have to have a head because it can be anything or the head can be anywhere. Now put some eyes, or viewing things on it. How many would you like?

B: Um... two?

I: How original. Does it have limbs? How many? How many arms? Or grabbing thingies.

B: Yeeees. Two?

I: Again. So original. Okay. Does it have legs or some sort of transporting things.

B: Yeeeees. Two? Two.

I: Soooooo original that I could die.

B: It can also have tentacles?

I: Sure. Brilliantly original. Again. We've never seen aliens with tentacles in movies before. I guess you're going to make them conquer the earth.

B: Er... umh... noooooo... yes?

"Well howdy earthling! We have ridden many light years and finally we have found an oasis. Your planet! We humbly request for a peaceful resting place for a while and perhaps a tour around your globe if it's not too much asked."

lataus (28).pnglataus (42).pnglataus (87).png

"We come in many shapes, forms and colors, or actually, not that many, we can't stand bright colors and we have only five different body shapes but we like to say that we come in many shapes so that you consider us to be pretty tolerant."

lataus (17).pnglataus (21).pnglataus (25).png

"We have individuals called non grabbers which means that they can only move stuff with their mind, not with their grabbers (so pathetic) which I think you would call arms, and we are so tolerant that we tolerate them and keep them as pets... I mean equal members of our society because it's not their fault that they performed shitty in their mating rituals and they had to give their arms as trophies to the winner. It's not their fault that they are loosers, you know."

lataus (51).pnglataus (55).pnglataus (90).png

"Anyway, our leaders are so eager to meet you!"

lataus (29).pnglataus (33).pnglataus (39).png

"We come in peace!"

lataus (52).pnglataus (57).pnglataus (80).png

"Trust us. We are not ominous at all. We do not know what that word is but ominous we are not."

lataus (17).pnglataus (43).pnglataus (68).png

"Nonono. These are not any type of guns. You see, Gus here is holding a bagpipe, Gusgus there is holding a vacuum cleaner and I, Gusgusgus am holding a modified modern witches broom. So no guns here."

lataus (23).pnglataus (35).pnglataus (77).png

"Look in to our eyes. You will start feeling drowsy and sleepy. Reaaaaaaally relaaaaaaaxed. Your brain is now in our command and you will do as we tell you to do. When we point, you will move, when we clap, you will turn, when we shout, you will jump, when we stomp, you will slide, when we holla, you will shuffle and twist and step and duck 'cause it's..."

lataus (30).pnglataus (53).pnglataus (67).png

"DISCO DISCO DISCO TIME! Do the hustle and march! D! I! S! C! O! Disco disco disco box step slide twist twist and pivot turn slide and it's DISCO DISCO DISCO DISCO hitch hiker aaaaaaaaand fancy feet oh yeah! DISCO DISCO DISCO DISCO DISCO right hand left hand roll and turn, shake shake shake and bump! DISCO DISCO DISCO DISCO DISCO DISCO DISCO DISCO! Running man and boxer boxer boxer roll that side to side and bump bump bump, it's DISCO DISCO DISCO DISCO TIME!"

I'd say that alien non gun looks awfully familiar.

But you know, the whole idea is to reuse what already is. Letters, numbers, different fonts. Cut, copy and paste. Join, remix and draw few lines if it's absolutely necessary. And let the code in the web site randomly do the combining.

The end.

Also, I hope your two arms, legs, feet, eyes, ears, and one face, head, body and any parts I have neglected to mention are doing well.

This post...is so original. Lol.

I know! I totally suckceed in originality.

Pinkies! And what's equivalent of pinkie but in toes, those I think aren't doing as great as everything else but they still are doing okay. And my sitting muscles! Too much sitting. Other than that, I'm well.

I haven't posted that much lately because I've started fine art photography studies in open university and although it's pretty basic stuff since it just started, I've been photographing lots again and reading about it because I feel like I'm interested in digital photography again. I should do a post about it perhaps some day soon. Maybe.

How's things down there?

I'm glad you're well, although you should work those sitting muscles a little more, movement is good.

It'll be interesting to hear about your studies so when you're ready feel free to do a post or two!

All good down here, autumn now and it' gotten cold quickly, days of 14-15 and nights of 2-5 degrees. Not cold by your standards but for here that's pretty cold. I think we might be in for a very cold winter considering how the weather has changed so quickly. Doing well though, just plodding along on my feet-bits and taking the rest of me with.

It's a vicious cycle. The more I move, the more my body needs the rest and the things I need to do that require sitting pile up but the more I sit the more I need to move but the more I move...

It helps if I sit weirdly. Like twist my legs to weird positions and change my position often.

What I'm baffled is that how the heck all the other people in my class can sit normally through all the classes when I, at the very instant I sit down, take my shoes off, put my woolly socks on and lift my legs to the same chair I'm sitting on or I constantly move my feet because if I don't everything starts to ache because I should be moving, not sitting.

I have to remind myself to update Hivers about my studies at some point. Fortunately I still have time. Until spring 2025 when it all ends. :D

days of 14-15 and nights of 2-5 degrees

Sounds like a typical Finnish spring. Or some years also summer. Hrrrh...

I figured you'd not think the weather was all that cold. By out standards it's chilly though.

Weird sitting is an underrated thing...Many successful people have been weird-sitters. Buddha for one.

LOL, how have you been, buddy? You are slacking on the posting! Life keeping you busy? I was thinking of you yesterday, me and the kid started a collage on our sick day! But we were just collecting pics. I think I should cut out loads pics so we can just put it together! 4-year-olds take a long time to cut!

I've just been busy and also lazy. At the same time and one after another. I've started fine art photography studies at open university and it has kept me fairly busy. Though it's not that time consuming, so I guess I just can't get my brain to tell my hands to start writing a new post. I do have ideas, for instance writing about my studies or about a new camera but as I've said, lazy.

The better planned and more pics, the better collage it's going to be.

But please, don't cut any more 4-year-olds.

Anyway, can't wait to see the collages!
