Protection from scams

In this digital world almost all of the tasks can be done online, and such a thing is good for making our life much better and comfortable. But every comfort and facility comes to us with a cost or with a risk. Online scams are such a thing which comes with the comforts as well as facilities. In recent days online scam is increasing and people are very much concerned about it because scammers and hackers getting smarter and finding new ways to scam people. Protecting from scams in this present world is not so easy because a simple mistake can be enough to wipe out the assets of our account. What steps should be taken to protect ourselves from scams or from hacking?

In social media they are available various kind of links for various purposes. It's true that we all need to access many links, but it does not mean that we can be careless in such a case. Because clicking on a single link can be enough to share giving access of our smartphone to the hackers and if they get the access, they can wipe out our asset and personal data easily from our smartphone. Sometimes sensitive personal data can be enough to blackmail us and that's why it is very much important to verify if I link is genuine or not before we click on it. In my case when I need to open a link, I use tor with private which can be a good option to protect our devices from hacking or stopping hackers from stealing information.

Humans are naturally greedy. They always try to make more money at any cost. Many people try to generate more money using their saving. Traditional Bank offers 7 to 10% of APR and it's not so satisfying but there are many online platforms or sites which promise to give 20% APR or more than it. In fact, some websites offer 40-50% and at the beginning they actually pay with interest to attract users. We need to understand that in this world nothing comes to us easily, especially when it's something related to finance. Nobody can give as money with so much high return without their benefit. So, if anyone offers high returns without any valid reason, it must be a trap. If one has a long-term vision, he should not be too greedy to fall in the trap. It is unfortunate that people are always greedy and fall for such kinds of Ponzi schemes. We cannot be greedy too much when it comes to finances.

At present, youtubers can create huge influence when it comes to investment. In online there are many projects to invest which can be good but there are some projects that use the influence of youtubers to catch the attention of people. For money many youtubers promote those projects which are not actually good. People blindly believe those youtubers and start to invest in these projects and it is just a matter of time these projects run away with our investment and leave nothing for us. So, the best way to protect our investment is to not to put blind trust on youtubers and we should make our own analysis before investing in any project. If we don't know how to make analysis for those kinds of projects, we should not invest online. Because the risk is more than we can get from there. It's better to take care of it rather than regret it later.
