Reason to be kind

Kindness is a great virtue. Elders always advise us to be kind to others because having such a habit makes our personality better as well as a better person. Unfortunately, in this present world people are getting selfish and many of them forget to be kind. I cannot blame them also because most of the people try to take advantage of the kindness of others. It's something we don't want to face but it's reality. Instead of it, some people are kind and their kindness inspires others to be kind.

We are humans and in various kind of situations and sometimes we need help of others does not matter how powerful we are. In my entire life, I also received the kindness from many people, but if I want to talk something significant that actually touched me it's not an incident related to me. In my case, I am very calculative and my every move in life seems to be well predicted. So, in my life most of the kindness was also predicted. According to my nature, I don't use to be very kind in my opinion. For having such kind of mindset, I don't feel guilty either because at the beginning phase most of the people have taken advantage of my kindness.

Let me share a story which still inspired me to be kind with others. The incident took place approximately eight years ago if I can remember correctly. One of my best friends went to the airport. When he was returning from there, somehow, he lost his wallet. He realized it when he was in a vehicle. So, he came down from that vehicle giving small money what he had in the pocket. It was in the middle of the road and there was no other way to go. The vehicle moves forward and he started walking from behind. After a while the vehicle stopped and waited until my friend reached the vehicles again. The driver asked my friend why he came down in the middle of the road and where he was going.

My friend told the driver about his situation, and the driver allowed him to ride and haggle again. When the vehicle reached the destination, he asked my friend to stay for a while. Even if the vehicle reached to the destination, it was still far from the home of my friend. The driver asked how much money he needed to reach the home. Surprisingly, the driver gave him the amount of money. I say it surprising because drivers are not from rich families generally and each penny is very important for them. He gave a good amount of money as fare to my friend. It was indeed a loss for him from financial perspective, but he is still chosen to help my friend. It was not an easy decision to make for a person who earns very little. He chose kindness and my friend still talks about the person because he cannot forget kindness.

This incident left me at very good impression and gave me a reason to be kind. Maybe, like that, I can help someone, even if there are many people who try to take advantage. At least few people will be grateful for it.
