Knight Inlet Black Bear
A black bear (Ursus americanus) scrounging for food on the inter tidal zone in Knight Inlet near Mt Scriven. The inlet is traditionally called Tsawatti or Tswawadwi and is the longest fjord on the BC Coast at c. 125 kilometres in length. Great Bear Rainforest, Knight Inlet, British Columbia, Canada.

Still waiting for my first bear sighting. @trang and I didn't see any on the John Muir Trail.
Currently, I'm in New Hampshire and there are plenty of black bears, but it's rare to spot them.
One bear, Mink, is becoming somewhat of a celebrity after returning to town since it was transported 100s of miles away. It's incredible she was able to find her way back. Her navigational intelligence is remarkable.
Amazing animals. Appear to be sluggish in their movement but they are lightning fast!
Yep; they can run as fast as a thoroughbred horse.
I'm half-expecting it to have slipped and tumbled into the drink in the next frame as the bank looks a bit precarious XD
They are super agile climbers with those claws.
