Mount Kerkeslin
I had hiked up here with my snowboard from the top of the Marmot Basin Ski Resort. Looking across a nearby snow cornice towards Mount Kerkeslin (2984m or 9791ft) which is the highest peak of the Maligne Range in the Canadian Rockies. Named in 1859 by James Hector, the reason for the name was not recorded and remains a mystery with some now believing the name of the mountain was based on a lost Indian word for wolverine. Jasper National Park, Alberta, Canada.

Ah nice shot. I snowboarded for most of my life, but switched last year to skiing and have not looked back.
Although I still see the appeal of snowboarding if you have some nice powder and few traverses.
I have snowboarded for about 20 years; but learnt how to ski two years ago also when my kids were learning how to ski. Still take my board out though if its a powder day.

Living in Philly it's harder to get to the slopes but I we got out for 7 days this season.
Cool. We hit the mountains a lot when we lived in Canada . Not so much now we are in the Caribbean ; although I did get one trip to Japan in before the lockdown .
