Mt Warning and Covid-19 lockdown
“The best journeys in life are those that answer questions you never thought to ask.” Rich Ridgeway
Into our fourth week now confined to our boat in the French Covid-19 lockdown. Certainly asking a lot of questions, not many answers yet. Hopefully I will agree with the above quote in a few months 😉.
The shot is a bit of a different perspective on Mt Warning (1,159 m or 3,802 ft) than the normal one you see from the NSW coast. It is taken at sunrise to the north west from the summit of Mount Barney which sits at 1,359m (4,459 ft) altitude (which is higher than one might think given it starts reasonably close to sea level). The whole region is part of the Gondwana Rainforests of Australia World Heritage Area. Mount Barney National Park is in the Scenic Rim Region in south-east Queensland, Australia while Mt Warning is over the border in the Tweed Range in the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Australia.

What’s in a name...
Quite a bit apparently ;-)
Nice shot and not far from Nimbin.
I spent 45 days up there. The Minyon falls are nice to check out!
Thanks; Minyon falls looks epic. Will have to get there one day.
Hope you're doing well on the boat. That is a little space for a lot of time. :)
Yep sure is; we are getting into a bit of a routine after a month.
Do you have to stay anchored/somewhere around where you are or can you still sail around, you just can't get off?
I really love the sunrise colours and the silhouette getting darker/stronger and more detailed coming towards the viewer. Might have to loko up what the normal perspective is if this one is different :)
No we are not allowed to move; so just anchored in the same spot for over a month now ;-)
