Sculpture of a fat puppy

Hello to all art lovers, dogs!!! And of the great sculptures made in cheap school clay. ^_^

I'm already close to achieving my goal of having an intern in my house, I'm excited about it ^_^ it will open many doors that had been closed to me, you have no idea of all the opportunities and jobs that I have lost due to this situation of not having internet, if all goes well, I may be able to be connected again by mid or end of September (I have many pending series to watch and many webcomics to read and support too 😊.

At my work they were fascinated by Polly's sculpture (and it turned out well, she survived the bike trip from my house to my work) as the vacation plan was coming, they decided to try the plasticine sculpture classes in it, before presenting them as a regular professor at the academy, they told me the number of hours I would have throughout the month, which would be around 8 hours in total, one hour a day twice a week, to be prepared I decided to make the sculptures at home that he would teach how to do, and thus have greater security when explaining the class to the children.

looking for ideas and references

I had the intention of teaching something flashy, but not very complicated, so I decided to teach how to make a clay dog.

Looking for ideas, it occurred to me to visit the wonderful gallery of the very creative artist “cryptid_creations” where I found this wonderful and funny puppy, which I liked so much that I decided to make him a sculpture

As I wanted to time myself to know how long it would take to make this nice dog, unfortunately for concentrating so much on finishing it soon, I did not record the entire process of its elaboration, I promise that from now on this will not happen again and I will always take photos of each type tutorial of the next sculptures I make

Despite all my haste, it took me a little more than 3 hours to finish this figure, which makes it unfeasible for the vacation plan, but it was a very satisfactory project, 00 this sculpture was very different from the previous one, besides being a quadrupedal animal, I made this one without any wooden base to cling to, one of the reasons was to save time, because being on all fours already gave it enough support, and also because here I made the head separate from the body.

I had and some differences with the difference image, the most noticeable is that my sculpture is not as fat as in the reference image, I did this intentionally, my sister has an obese dog and I know very well what a dog suffers from. dog being so fat, and as silly as it sounds, I didn't want this little friend to stop for that despite being made of plasticine.

Another difference is that seeing that it took me more than 3 hours I couldn't make the plate of food that you have in the image, it was also because I ran out of plasticine of those colors I had to buy more, maybe in the future I will make the plate of food but at the moment I have other priorities, this puppy ended up having a height of 7.5 cm unlike Polly who has a height of 13.8 cm my tallest figure… for now ^_^

Thank you very much for reading my post.

I hope you liked my plasticine sculpture
