Can you live without Water?

How long can a person live without water? Google says 2 days. Please don't test the limits and stay hydrated. But when it comes to Splinterland I am sure players may ask for water in every few matches. I am talking about Water Splinter.

The water splinter used to be the Magic Heavy splinter in the initial days of the game. All because of the Water Gandalf (Alric) and his younger version (Valnomor). With +1 Magic and very few counters, they almost broke the game. I mean the only hope against them was getting a tank with Heal and support healer. These guys were wreaking havoc in the lower leagues. The Untamed Cards summoners of the Water splinter did confused me as they introduced an Anti Magic- tortoise (Bortus) and heavy armour, return fire and blind Deepswimmer. As if the game was trying to suggest that Water is more than Magic.

And that statement came true with the introduction of the Chaos Legion. The focus entirely shifted from Magic to Speed and Armor. With fan favourite Kelya Frendul +1 Speed and +1 armor, the ability boosted the Water monsters in different directions. Why because the monster already possessed an impressive speed already. I remember a match where my monster couldn't even touch that monster shark (Diemonshark).

Now coming to the Aquaman of Splinterland (Aquatus) the dude gives backfire abilities to all the monsters in the team. Which already boasts a good impressive speed. There is Djinn Oshannus who gains phase ability at Silver League pair him up with the Aquaman and watch the enemy die as they miss. All this is great, but the dude is completely useless in the Aimless rule set.

And there is my favorite Possiblus the wise dragon. Arming the monsters with reach, trample and +2 Health. He is a game-changer. Whenever get a high mana match and water is available. I almost always go for this water dragon. And second monster in most of the line is the Costal sentry, with the heavy melee and double strike it can easily dispatch the heaviest of the tanks in a few rounds and also if managed to kill a monster the trample comes into effect. Also if the ruleset is Stampede, it's a no-brainer that I would prefer all my monsters to have the Trample ability.

I didn't get much chance to explore the rebellion cards with the Water. But will check them out too. And I think one of the new cards provides the shield ability also. Would love to try that with Djinn. I mean it would be fun to watch a monster with Shield and Void ability together.

Now, with all this, The only issue I see is the Mana cap. Water has some impressive monsters but they all cost a lot. Low mana battle would be difficult.

Hello Everyone,
