Random Shot From The Ferry Deck

I've been in Simeulue for a week for work. The thing that I will share in this post is my journey to the island. The type of transportation I use to get to the island is a ferry, whose nearest port is a 3-hour drive from where I currently live. After that, I had to continue traveling for about 16 hours by ferry until I finally arrived on the island of Simeulue.

During this long journey, I did many things. From talking to my friends and strangers I met on the ferry deck, watching movies in my room, and of course, taking some random pictures during the trip.

The weather at the time was clear with cloud cover dominating the sky. The wind was blowing normally so it did not cause significant waves for the balance of the ship. The pictures that I will share in this post were taken shortly before the ship I was traveling on departed. On that occasion, I managed to take some pictures from around the harbor, where there is a building that has a large oil storage tank, to the beach with brown sand grains that are very charming.

In addition to the buildings and objects being quite far from the ship's position, I also found other passenger ships that were docked at this port. This ship is a pioneering cruise subsidized by the government. However, unlike the ship I used where cars can be carried, the pioneer ship can only carry people and some goods that are lifted onto the ship using a crane at the front of the ship.

For the above-deck conditions, I did not take too many pictures as I did not get the proper position. This was because there were too many passengers crowded on the deck at that time, so I was not free to take pictures.

The 16-hour trip was quite enjoyable due to the good weather conditions and I also met many friendly and kind people on the trip. Also, as the ship departed in the afternoon, I spent more time resting in my room, which was very comfortable.

That's a piece of my story on this trip to Simeulue island. I hope you like it and see you in the next post. I would also be very happy to get any comments or feedback from this post. Thank you!
