Ulog #87 | Steemit to HIVE & Self Quarantine to LOCK DOWN.. What's next ?

There's been a lot of hype these last few weeks and then it became days, to hours and now to minutes.

To be honest, I still have no idea which is which and what is what. There's so many things happening around the world that it's hard to catch up with everything. Online news, updates, networking and social media has never been more active. Somehow, with the global pandemic situation, all conventional routines now has to make way for the more online lifestyle. I recall my mom telling me that she's always find reading an actual newspaper easier for her as compared to many of us who just rely on the online news. Then again, with the recently implementation of limited movement control order (MCO), everyone even the old folks have to adapt to what seemed to be a permanent lifestyle - lockdown.

After all, countries like China have done so for more than a month in an effort to contain the virus from spreading. Why is it that such a nation can enforce it to its citizens and for us, it's so hard for people to understand the importance of such decision. At times like this, I do appreciate dictatorship rather than independence because the hard decisions are required and that one voice is mandatory for everyone's survival.

So, what's all this about people moving from Steemit to HIVE ?

To be honest, I have minimal understanding of what's all the hype about. All seemed rather complicated to me but reading all those post do make me ponder. Life is after all too short and we do want to make the most out of it. So, I leave it in the hands of my beloved whom I trust fully. After all, it's because of him, I'm here. I continue to post things of interest to share and make my next 12 days of quarantine as interesting as possible. Apart from work, my movements are pretty much limited to my apartment with an occasional secret outdoor walkabout.

How is it for you ? How is all these changes affecting yourself and your daily lifestyle ? What do you think is going to happen in the next few weeks ?

Can't wait for this madness to be over
Just went to the hypermarket to grab more groceries
With the kids stuck at home... they are extra hungry...
Guess it happens when there's nothing much to do
No bread... and I went to 5 different places just it too
Back tomorrow at noon was the advice I got from the last place I visited
No bread, but we have plenty of other stuff and now hope the children won't go through it like there's no tomorrow hahaha

Stay safe Ireen.. it must be extra tough for you not being with your family right now
Thank goodness for technology eh
Sending you a Malaysian air hug ❤️

Thanks so much..
It is indeed tough during times such as these.
I video call with the kids more frequent nowadays since both side under quarantine. And yes getting food is hard too.

Simon told me that is some hypermarkets and local markets, they restrict number of people going in, which is a good practice but the whole panic buying is getting out of hand.

Well now military has stepped in to help with the policing
And it is so very quiet
I heard the police sirens in the afternoon... guess they are making their rounds to make sure everyone knows they are making their rounds hahaha

Stay safe and let's hope this blows over fast

Strange days, indeed. And no doubt there is stranger to come. We have been in lockdown since Tuesday (bars, cafés etc closed for à week). It is the knock on effect that worries me.

On the bright side I am happy with Hive. Once all the dapps and voting comes back we'll be better off.

Takke care

Same her and now the VN Govt has stopped entry in.
Even if we want to fly out there isn't any flights available so it's as good as lock down. We can only pray.

Good thing is HIVE is up though the voting and apps are not up and running yet :(

Yes, it will take a bit of time for everything to sort itself out in HIVE but I think it will be better when it does. And I am looking forward to getting my Steem out and converting it to HIVE!
