Yo soy muy ansiosa así que comencé a hacer el proyecto sorpresa para mi amiga Julia un par de días después de haber conversado con ella, quise hacer un retrato por así decirlo de mi amiga en la técnica de amigurumi, ella cuando viene de visita y debe ir a la granja de su familia normalmente usa un sombrero tejido de fibras naturales para protegerse del sol, este tipo de sombreros en mi país es conocido como sombrero Wayú, porque ese es el nombre de la etnia indígena a que se especializa en ese tipo de sombreros y artesanías, es por eso que la versión amigurumi de Julia tiene sombrero. Lamentablemente mi amiga no está en Hive, pero pueden ver su trabajo de amigurumis en Instagram @enred_arte_

Greetings dear community, last year I told you that I met a friend from adolescence named Julia, and that by coincidence she is also currently making amigurumis, it was nice to share with her because I haven't seen her for so many years, the best thing is that since the reunion with my weaver friend we have kept in touch even though she lives in the capital very far from me, but fortunately social networks exist to communicate, and she also takes advantage of the holidays to come to my city to see his family.

Also a few days ago, I shared on social networks the memory of the amigurumi I made in the shape of my friend @majenye, I asked a question on my Instagram stories, about which of my friends wanted for me to make an amigurumi version of them, immediately my friend Julia wrote me to propose something very interesting and fun, she suggested that we do an amigurumi exchange, that is, we would both make an amigurumi thinking of each other, making the exchange a reality. next time she comes to my city, which will be at Easter.

I am very anxious so I started doing the surprise project for my friend Julia a couple of days after having talked with her, I wanted to make a portrait so to speak of my friend in the technique of amigurumi, when she comes to visit and must go to her family's farm, she normally wears a hat made of natural fibers to protect herself from the sun, this type of hat in my country is known as a Wayú hat, because that is the name of the indigenous ethnic group that specializes in this type of hats and crafts, that is why the amigurumi version of Julia has a hat. For now I'll share a bit of the process I went through to make this amigurumi.

Proceso / Process

Empecé haciendo los zapatos con hilo blanco para el óvalo de la suela de 16 puntadas, luego agregué el hilo negro para la mitad de la puntadas, hice las disminuciones solo en la mitad de color blanco para formar el tobillo de 10 puntadas. Cambié a hilo azul y seguí recto hasta alcanzar la altura total de la pierna. Hice la otra pierna del igual forma.

Uní las dos piernas por dos cadenas de distancia, sobre las cuales hice puntos bajos en la hilera siguiente, obteniendo la entrepierna, de este modo proseguí haciendo 24 puntadas hasta la altura de la cintura con el color azul.

I started making the shoes with white thread for the oval of the sole of 16 stitches, then I added the black thread for half of the stitches, I made the decreases only in the white half for form the ankle of 10 stitches. I switched to blue yarn and continued straight until I reached the full height of the leg. I did the other leg the same way.

I joined the two legs for two chains away, over which I made single crochets in the next row, obtaining the crotch, in this way I continued making 24 stitches until the height of the waist with the blue color.

Para los brazos con hilo beige claro hice 8 puntos bajos en un anillo y luego hice dos hileras, hice dos disminuciones y seguí haciendo 6 puntos por 7 hileras, luego hice una hilera con hilo negro. Hice los dos brazos iguales.

For the arms with light beige thread I made 8 single crochets in a ring and then I made two rows, I made two decreases and I continued making 6 stitches for 7 rows, then I made a row with black thread. I made both arms the same.

Con hilo negro hice 26 cadenas cerradas en círculo, luego hice dos hileras de puntos bajos sobre estas, hice dos disminuciones y luego coloque sobre la cintura del cuerpo y seguí recto con puntos bajos hasta la altura de las axilas, agregué los brazos de cada lado para hacer una hilera para unir. Hice disminuciones para obtener los hombros y llegar al cuello de la camiseta.

With black thread I made 26 closed chains in a circle, then I made two rows of single crochets on these, I made two decreases and then placed on the waist of the body and continued straight with single crochets up to the height of the armpits, I added the arms on each side to make a row to join. I made decreases to get the shoulders and reach the neck of the shirt.

Antes de introducir el relleno para la parte del torso, sobre el pecho hice un bordado con forma de abeja con la técnica de punto de cruz. Debo admitir que esta fue mi parte favorita del proceso. Me divertí mucho haciendo la abeja. Además que me pareció acorde a la temática, a mi amiga Julia le gusta mucho el campo y por eso le gusta ir a la granja de su familia, así que pensé que una abeja estaría bien en el diseño.

Before introducing the padding for the torso part, on the chest I made an embroidery in the shape of a bee with the cross stitch technique. I have to admit that this was my favorite part of the process. I had a lot of fun making the bee. Besides that it seemed to fit the theme, my friend Julia likes the countryside a lot and that's why she likes to go to her family's farm, so I thought a bee would be good in the design.

Luego con el hilo beige claro hice el cuello y luego los aumentos para la cabeza de 30 puntadas y después de rellenar hice las disminuciones para cerrar, con el mismo hilo beige hice las orejas a los lados y la nariz, con hilo negro bordé los ojos.

Then with the light beige thread I made the neck and then the increases for the head of 30 stitches and after filling I made the decreases to close, with the same beige thread I made the ears on the sides and the nose, with black thread I embroidered the eyes .

Para el cabello hice 6 puntos bajos en un anillo y luego 6 aumentos por tres hileras, luego hice cada cabello con 20 cadenas y 20 puntos deslizados sobre estas, para el flequillo hice 2 cabellos de 9 cadenas de largo, 2 de 8 cadenas y 4 de 6 cadenas.

For the hair I made 6 single crochets in a ring and then 6 increases for three rows, then I made each hair with 20 chains and 20 slipped stitches over them, for the bangs I made 2 hairs of 9 chains long, 2 of 8 chains and 4 of 6 chains.

Para el sombrero hice 8 puntos bajos en un anillo y dos hileras de 8 aumentos, una hilera sin aumentos y luego una hilera para bajar los 24, luego hice 3 aumentos por hilera tomando solo el lado de atrás hasta llegar a 48.

Para la solapa del sombrero hice 8 aumentos por 3 hileras y luego una hilera sin aumentos seguida por una hilera de 8 aumentos. Hice una flor de 5 pétalos con hilo rosado y la cosí al sombrero.

For the hat I made 8 single crochets in a ring and two rows of 8 increases, one row without increases and then a row to lower the 24, then I made 3 increases per row taking only the side back to 48.

For the brim of the hat I made 8 increases for 3 rows and then a row without increases followed by a row of 8 increases. I made a 5-petaled flower out of pink yarn and sewed it to the hat.

Resultado / Result

Al principio de este proyecto dudé de mis habilidades, porque no sabía si el amigurumi iba a tener la apariencia de mi amiga Julia, está claro que no es una imagen realista, pero me gusta pensar que se puede capturar la esencia de una persona en un amigurumi, así que una vez que terminé el proyecto me sentí muy feliz, porque realmente el amigurumi se parece a Julia y espero ella esté muy feliz al recibirlo. At the beginning of this project I doubted my skills, because I didn't know if the amigurumi was going to have the appearance of my friend Julia, it is clear that it is not a realistic image, but I like to think that you can capture the essence of a person in a amigurumi, so once I finished the project I felt very happy, because the amigurumi really looks like Julia and I hope she is very happy when she receives it.
