La película es magnífica tanto a nivel histórico, como a nivel emocional, la relación entre Naoko y Jirõ es hermosa pero a la vez triste, igualmente en el desarrollo de los aviones puede ver como un proyecto que en principio de valió de la guerra, tendría el fin deseado por Jirõ, porque aunque no se mencionan en le película como tal, se da a entender que después de la guerra se empezarían a producir aviones para el transporte de personas, que era el sueño del protagonista.
