Saludos queridas Damas, en esta ocasión me uno al concurso comunitario de Ladies of Hive #159 para responder a la segunda pregunta acerca de mi fiesta favorita del año, espero se una a participar y a compartir con nosotras sus experiencias 🥰

¿Cuál es mi fiesta favorita del año y por qué?

En mi país el Halloween no es celebrado como en otros lugares, a pesar de que hay libertad de credo las religiones católica y cristiana son las más comunes en la población, esto no tendría nada que ver con el Halloween pero estas personas condenan el origen pagano de la celebración y es por eso que en las escuelas y prácticamente ningún ambiente familiar hay actividades relacionadas al Halloween, la mayoría son solo fiestas para adultos en discotecas o lugares por el estilo, es decir, no hay tradición de pedir dulces ni nada de eso, sin embargo, me encanta el Halloween porque es la oportunidad de expresar mis gusto por la estética oscura, en encanta hacer manualidades ya arte así que de algún modo aprovecho la festividad de Halloween para hacer máscaras o cualquier otra manualidad con esta temática.

What is my favorite holiday of the year and why?

In my country Halloween is not celebrated like in other places, although there is freedom of belief, Catholic and Christian religions are the most common in the population, this would have nothing to do with Halloween but these people condemn the pagan origin of the celebration and that is why in schools and practically no family environment there are activities related to Halloween, most of them are only parties for adults in clubs or places like that, that is, there is no tradition of trick-or-treating or anything like that. However, I love Halloween because it is the opportunity to express my taste for dark aesthetics, I love making crafts and art, so in some way I take advantage of the Halloween holiday to make masks or any other craft with this theme.

A veces mi mamá @yole prepara torta de calabaza o de zanahoria para que comamos algo dulce ese día, también suelo ver películas como Nightmare before Christmas o Frankenweenie con mi hijo. Me gustaría que mi hijo pudiera experimentar pedir dulce o truco pero en mi país no es posible, pero el y yo tratamos de divertirnos a nuestra manera. Este año no hice máscaras para nosotros pero pude hacer un gorro de calabaza para nuestra gatita Linda, mi hijo estaba muy feliz de ver a su gatita de cierto modo disfrazada en esta fecha.

Sometimes my mom @yole makes pumpkin or carrot cake so we can eat something sweet that day, I also usually watch movies like Nightmare before Christmas or Frankenweenie with my son. I would like my son to be able to experience trick-or-treating but in my country it is not possible, but he and I try to have fun in our own way. This year I didn't make masks for us but I was able to make a pumpkin hat for our cat Linda, my son was very happy to see his cat dressed up in a certain way on this date.

I have never celebrated halloween but I like the cosplay everyone does it’s fun to watch also the thing about the treats people leave by their door for kids to have them. Halloween always looked super cool to me 😇. Your son seems like enjoying himself a lot along with the cat hehe.

Traditionally here in the Philippines, we don’t have trick-or-treating, we celebrate it by visiting the tomb of our loved ones and by having some storytelling about ghosts stories. By the way the crochet is awesome!

I share your love for halloween, and like you halloween never really been a big thing here eather.
It has grown bigger by the year tho, so today there are places to go if you really want to experience the scare 😁 lol

Also love pumpkins 🎃
And my new favorite is pumpkin pie and soup 😋 sooo Yummy.
