Mis gatos soportando el calor

Saludos amantes de las mascotas, aquí en el estado en donde vivió volvió el calor insoportable, a pesar de que hasta hace pocos días atrás parecía que vendrían lluvias esto no pasó de ser un alegría en vano, aunque me contó una amiga que en su estado su hubo bastante lluvia, el clima de mi ciudad es semiárido y ya regresamos al calor habitual, pero por mucho que nuestro clima sea siempre así nunca nos acostumbramos del todo, porque cada año parece estar más caliente y es más difícil lidiar con la situación, sobre todo para las mascotas.

Greetings fellow pet lovers! Here in my state, the unbearable heat has returned. Even though it seemed like rain was on the way just a few days ago, it was a false hope. A friend told me that her state had quite a bit of rain, though. My city has a semi-arid climate, and we're back to our usual heat. But even though our climate is always like this, we never really get used to it, because every year it seems to get hotter, and it's harder to deal with the situation, especially for pets.

Mis pobre gatos ya no encuentran ni donde echarse, buscan cualquier lugar de la casa que les permita tener menos calor, se duermen pegados a las paredes internas de la casa buscando que estas este un poco mas frías, se arriman al tanque de agua en busca de lo mismo, también se acuestan en el piso del baño y también han hecho las maceteros su nuevas camas, basta con que mi mamá riegue las plantas en la mañana para ellos de inmediato ocupen su lugar, pero el clima esta tan seco que la tierra absorbe el agua casi de inmediato y la frescura no dura mucho, aun así ellos tratan de soportar lo mejor que pueden.

My poor cats can't even find a place to lie down anymore. They look for any spot in the house that will let them cool down. They sleep pressed against the interior walls, hoping they'll be a little cooler. They snuggle up to the water tank for the same reason. They also lie on the bathroom floor, and they've even made the flowerpots their new beds. All it takes is for my mom to water the plants in the morning for them to immediately take their place. But the weather is so dry that the soil absorbs the water almost instantly, and the coolness doesn't last long. Even so, they try to endure it as best they can.

Yo por mi parte les tengo envases de agua en diversas zonas de la casa a las cuales procuro cambiar el agua varias veces al día para que esté fresca, pues si se deja el agua en el suelo por mucho tiempo esta se pondrá muy caliente, lamentablemente no tengo aires acondicionados en la casa así que no hay un ambiente en que los gatos puedan refugiarse del calor, mi temor es que se sigan elevando las temperaturas porque en agosto es el mes mas caluroso y si estamos ya asándonos no me quiero imaginar dentro de dos meses, espero que mis gatos no sufran tanto este año.

For my part, I keep containers of water in various areas of the house, and I try to change the water several times a day to keep it fresh. If the water is left on the floor for too long, it gets very hot. Unfortunately, I don't have air conditioning in the house, so there's no place for the cats to escape the heat. My fear is that the temperatures will continue to rise because August is the hottest month, and if we're already sweltering, I don't want to imagine what it will be like in two months. I hope my cats don't suffer too much this year.
