Trucos de tejido que cambiaron mi vida / LOH Contest 135
Saludos queridas Damas, este es un post muy especial para mi porque la pregunta del Concurso Comunitario de Ladies of Hive me permite usar mi plantilla de publicación de tejidos 😁 así que espero les gusten mis separadores y mi avatar que uso para estos casos, pues la pregunta es acerca de los Hacks que han cambiado mi vida y como gran parte de mi vida se trata de hacer trabajos de aguja, sobre todo amigurumis a crochet, para hoy les comparto mis mejores Hacks para hacer crochet.

Reciclo Plástico / I recycle plastic
Me encanta reciclar al igual que hacer crochet, así que cuando descubrí que podía darle utilidad a las tapas de los envases de mantequilla u otro plástico plano , esto cambio mi vida. El plástico reciclado es la solución a uno de los problemas más comunes al hacer figuras a crochet que tengan que tener un relleno pero que tienen un lado plano. Les comparto unos ejemplos:
I love to recycle as well as crochet, so when I discovered that I could use butter jar lids or other flat plastic, it changed my life. Recycled plastic is the solution to one of the most common problems when making crochet figures that have to be filled but have a flat side. I share some examples:
Cuando hice la figura de Mick Mars , el guitarrista de Mötley Crüe, necesitaba hacer la guitarra, obviamente las caras de la guitarra se hacen de manera recta o plana, pero al rellenarse está pierde su forma y se convierte en abultado, entonces la solución es cortar dos pedazos de plástico para colocarlos entre el tejido y el relleno y hacer como una especie de sándwich, de este modo al rellenar la guitarra seguirá luciendo plana.

Otra utilidad que tiene el plástico es que lo uso para hacer la plantilla interna de los pies o zapatos de los amigurumis, de este modo se evita que el relleno deforme el pie. Así se obtiene que incluso las figuras que no tienen esqueleto de alambre por dentro se manténganse de pie, tal como pueden observar en el amigurumi de la niña calabaza.
El mismo principio de mantener la base plana gracias al uso de plástico por dentro, lo apliqué cuando hice el amigurumi en forma de Cupcake para colaborar con @mikecupcakes. De este modo el Cupcake puede reposar normalmente sobre una mesa o superficie plana.

I applied the same principle of keeping the base flat thanks to the use of plastic inside when I made the Cupcake-shaped amigurumi to collaborate with @mikecupcakes. In this way the Cupcake can rest normally on a table or flat surface.
Uso canicas / I use marbles
Hace un tiempo hice un gran proyecto de un ajedrez completamente hecho a crochet, al momento de hacer las piezas tenía claro que usaría círculos de plástico reciclado para colocar por dentro de la base , para que las piezas se pudieran mantener en posición, pero también el problema del poco peso de las piezas era determinante, nadie quiere jugar ajedrez y que si se mueve un poco la mesa o si hace solo un poco de viento, las piezas se desmayen 😅, así que se me ocurrió que para que las piezas fuesen un poco más pesadas para tener estabilidad, les introduje una canica de vidrio por dentro, definitivamente este truco se me ocurrió y ahora me encanta.

Uso alambre reciclado / I use recycled wire
Hace un tiempo cuando decidí hacer amigurumis con esqueletos de alambre por dentro, me sentí triste al ver que los precios del alambre eran tan elevados, así que gracias a un amigo quien me regaló unos cables viejos que no usaba pude aprender a reciclar alambre de cobre, este viene por dentro de los cables de alto voltaje eléctrico doméstico, es decir de los que van de la fuente de energía de las casa, estos tienen muchas hebras de cable formando una especie de cordón. Obtener este alambre no es tan fácil pero yo soy muy trabajadora, así que primero debo retirar la superficie de goma aislante que tienen por fuera, luego separa uno a uno las hebras de alambre y por último debo limpiar muy bien y enrollar para guardar.
Este alambre de cobre reciclado me encanta aunque no se si pueda convertir más, espero encontrar personas que tengan en sus casas cables viejos que quieran regalarme porque este tipo de alambre es genial, tiene la suficiente fuerza para sostener una estructura pero también es muy flexible, por lo puedo aprovechar para articular las figuras que hago.
En el ejemplo que les muestro esta una estructura de cuerpo completo. También como puedo usarlo para darle movilidad y estabilidad a las colas de los animales, también está el ejemplo de la serpiente de Alice Cooper la cual se puede enrollar por su cuerpo o por donde sea pues el alambre de cobre que tiene por dentro es flexible y fuerte.

Obtaining this wire is not so easy but I am a very hard worker, so first I must remove the insulating rubber surface that they have on the outside, then separate the strands of wire one by one and finally I must clean very well and roll up to store.
I love this recycled copper wire, although I don't know if I can convert more, I hope to find people who have old cables in their houses that they want to give me because this type of wire is great, it has enough strength to support a structure but it is also very flexible. so I can take advantage of it to articulate the figures I make.
In the example that I show you is a complete body structure. Also, how can I use it to give mobility and stability to the tails of animals? There is also the example of Alice Cooper's snake, which can be wound around its body or anywhere, since the copper wire inside is flexible and strong.
Muchos alfileres / Many pins
Una de las cosas mas importante al hacer amigurumis es la simetría, esta a veces es un poco difícil de obtener debido a que son tantas puntadas que confunden la visión, antes para mi era un infierno ver que hice un ojo más abajo que otro y tener que deshacer el trabajo, pero luego de que empecé a usar alfileres para marcar cada pequeño espacio que necesitaba delimitar , facilitó mi trabajo y mi vida 🥰 una hurra para los alfileres!!!
One of the most important things when making amigurumis is symmetry, this is sometimes a bit difficult to obtain because there are so many stitches that confuse vision, before it was hell for me to see that I made one eye lower than the other and have Than to undo the work, but after I started using pins to mark every little space I needed to delineate, it made my job and life easier 🥰 hooray for the pins!!!
Conservo los residuos de hilo / I keep thread waste
Pasaron muchísimos años antes que me diera cuenta de importante valor que tienen los residuos de los hilos, para mi era fácil terminar de trabajar y barrer todo lo que quedaba y botarlo, sin embargo, cuando la crisis del país empeoró cada vez era más difícil para mí hacer algo a crochet, los hilos eran costosos y si se trataba de amigurumis el relleno era casi de imposible de conseguir en mi ciudad, (incluso en la actualidad es difícil), así que empecé a guardar todos los residuos de hilo en frascos, no lo uso para amigurmis para vender, pero si lo uso para cosas más personales, como por ejemplo cuando estaba en la universidad y necesita relleno para un trabajo artístico. Así que lo recomiendo completamente, reducimos basura, le damos más utilidad a las cosas y tenemos beneficios de reducción de gastos. A mi en mi periodo de estudiante me ayudo muchísimo. Como recomendación este tipo de relleno de residuos no debe ser usado en un amigurumi de color claro, por muy cerrado que sea la luz siempre traspasa, así que se notará que no está relleno con algo blanco sino de otros colores, también el resultado no es tan suave como la fibra, las figuras quedan un poco más duras y pesadas. Pero todo es de utilidad si se adapta al proyecto que tienen en mente. Así que este Hack es muy valioso en mi vida.

So I fully recommend it, we reduce waste, we make things more useful and we have cost reduction benefits. It helped me a lot when I was a student. As a recommendation, this type of waste filling should not be used in a light-colored amigurumi, no matter how closed it is, the light always shines through, so you will notice that it is not filled with something white but with other colors, also the result is not as soft as the fiber, the figures are a little harder and heavier. But everything is useful if it adapts to the project they have in mind. So this Hack is very valuable in my life.
