For my son's writing assignment, he wrote about his experience with the "explosions" outside our home. It was about two miles away and we all felt it.

The Scary Night

There was a night that was scary. We heard some sort of boom!! The sky looked like it was going to explode. It was!!!!! A fire exploding. It was not fun.

"Uuu... Ben! Something is exploding."

Sundown

It was sun down. Mom and dad had come home, we were playing Mario Kart. When mom was looking outside, then she said "Ben, something is exploding!!" We paused Mario Kart. Mom said "Get your socks and shoes on." We did. Boom! Boom! Boom! Boom! It was getting louder! When it stopped we went to bed. It was not fun!

Mom is comforting the children, while dad is outside filming with his phone.
