A View of the City
Today we turn our gaze once again to the heart of Caracas, a city that for years has grown amid a society that has had to find its own way forward. This is how the mountains became dotted with makeshift homes and the visible horizon is obstructed by large, high-density buildings, most of which were constructed according to the standards of perfect geometry that characterized the architectural style of the 1950s.

Una Vista a la Ciudad
Hoy volvemos a mirar hacia la Caracas profunda, esa ciudad que durante años ha crecido al calor de una sociedad que ha tenido que buscar la manera de dibujar su propio rumbo. Es así como las montañas se poblaron de viviendas improvisadas y el horizonte visible se ve obstaculizado por grandes edificios de alta densidad, en su mayoría construidos bajo los estándares de la geometría perfecta que caracterizaba al estilo arquitectónico de los años 50.
Perhaps this isn’t an idyllic postcard where the city is depicted as an earthly paradise, but the truth is that this is a snapshot of the reality of the capital—and of South America as a whole—where order and perfectly designed urban planning may still be pending, yet this simultaneously offers us a space that rises above the spontaneity and unique nuances of each society.
Quizás no se trata de una postal idílica en donde la ciudad se dibuje como un paraíso terrenal, pero la verdad es que esta es una muestra de la realidad capitalina y al mismo tiempo sudamericana, en donde el orden y el urbanismo perfectamente diseñado aún estaré pendiente, pero esto al mismo tiempo nos regala un espacio que se alza sobre la espontaneidad y los matices propios de cada sociedad.
Western Caracas stands as a true enigma in the eyes of the world; it is an area that does not stand out as a tourist hub, but it is undeniably the first area everyone sees upon entering through the tunnels that connect the city. It is this area, with its resilience and optimism, that opens its arms to all those seeking a truly memorable adventure in the capital. Little by little, some curious visitors dare to wander its streets, explore its hills, and enjoy its viewpoints, thus discovering a large, generous city with a stunning landscape.
El oeste caraqueño se alza como una verdadera incógnita ante los ojos del mundo, es una zona que no se destaca por ser el epicentro turístico, pero indiscutiblemente es el área que todos ven primero al entrar por los túneles que conectan la ciudad. De esta zona la que con su resiliencia y optimismo le abre los brazos a todos aquellos que intentan Buscar en la capital una aventura realmente memorable. Poco a poco algunos curiosos se atreven a surcar sus calles, conocer sus colinas y disfrutar de sus miradores, descubriendo así una ciudad grande, generosa y paisajísticamente muy bella.
