A Look at my Environment
In cities like Caracas the stress of everyday life immerses us in a parallel world that takes us away from the beauties of our own environment, as we tend to live at a really impressive speed, where there is no time for details and where everyday landscapes seem monotonous and boring, therefore, we do not usually look to the sides and much less we take a moment to detail those wonders and contrasts that surround us in every space in which we find ourselves.

Una Mirada a mi Entorno
En ciudades como Caracas el estrés del día a día nos sumerge en un mundo paralelo que nos aleja de las bellezas de nuestro propio entorno, ya que solemos vivir a una velocidad realmente impresionante, en donde no queda tiempo para los detalles y en donde los paisajes cotidianos nos parecen monótonos y aburridos, por lo tanto, no solemos mirar a los lados y mucho menos nos tomamos un momento para detallar aquellas maravillas y contrastes que nos rodean en cada espacio en el que nos encontramos.
In today's big cities, the benefit of a panoramic view and beautiful landscapes is not usually a feature enjoyed by most, but, on the contrary, it is a privilege that costs money and, therefore, is not available to everyone. But in Caracas there was a time when the military dictatorship that ruled at that time took the reins of the reorganization of the city and decided to generate massive and multi-family housing spaces, where the priority was the right to a house of one's own, comfort and convenience, all this in an orderly, safe and clean environment.
En las grandes ciudades de la actualidad, el beneficio de una vista panorámica y de paisajes lindos no suele ser una característica de la cual goce la mayoría, sino, por el contrario, se trata de un privilegio que cuesta dinero y, por lo tanto, no estar al alcance de todos. Pero en Caracas hubo un tiempo en donde la dictadura militar que gobernaba para entonces tomó las riendas de la reorganización de la ciudad y decidió generar espacios habitacionales masivos y multifamiliares, en donde se tomaba como prioridad el derecho a una casa propia, la comodidad y el confort, todo esto en un entorno ordenado, seguro y limpio.
This is how large blocks capable of housing hundreds of apartments were built, in whose spaces several families would find a decent home where to live and at the same time these structures were located in key areas within the city, which at that time could be considered peripheral, but today are considered quite central, usually these places were characterized by being very close to the mountains or on a hill, which gave them the advantage of having an extraordinary view of various points of the capital city.
Es así como se construyeron grandes bloques capaces de albergar cientos de apartamentos, en cuyos espacios diversas familias encontrarían un hogar digno en donde vivir y al mismo tiempo estas estructuras se ubicaron en espacios claves dentro de la ciudad, que para aquel entonces podían considerarse periféricos, pero que hoy en día se consideran bastante céntricos, normalmente estos lugares se caracterizaban por estar muy cerca de las montañas o sobre alguna colina, lo cual les regaló la ventaja de contar con una vista extraordinaria de diversos puntos de la ciudad capital.
By specific orders of the government of the time, these constructions were not built stacked one on top of the other, but the necessary distance was respected for a good air circulation and great natural lighting, which became a true urbanistic example and allowed the inhabitants of these urbanizations to enjoy pleasant, fresh and perfectly illuminated environments. Obviously, the passing of the years has greatly altered the original design of these urban spaces, but despite these circumstances, it can be said that today this place continues to have unparalleled features, this is how from the various windows of my house you can enjoy the majesty of a capital that is constantly debating between architecture and nature.
Por órdenes específicas del gobierno de entonces estas construcciones no se levantaron apiladas unas a otras, sino que se respetó la distancia necesaria para una buena circulación del aire y gran iluminación natural, lo que se convirtió en un verdadero ejemplo urbanístico y le permitió a los habitantes de estas urbanizaciones gozar de entornos agradables, frescos y perfectamente iluminados. Obviamente, el pasar de los años ha trastocado mucho el diseño original de estos espacios urbanos, pero a pesar de estas circunstancias, se puede afirmar que en la actualidad este lugar sigue contando con características inigualables, es de esta forma como desde las diversas ventanas de mi casa se puede disfrutar la majestad de una capital que se debate constantemente entre arquitectura y naturaleza.
