Walking Through the City Center

The center of Caracas is my favorite place to walk, stroll and enjoy the benefits of a city that already has more than four centuries of history, this is an area where the remains of the colonial city mix with the extravagant modernity of the buildings of the most recent centuries, it is a tourist, commercial and governmental area, where we will always find a great dynamism, therefore it is a space full of noise, many people and where we will find new situations every day.

Caminando por el Centro de la Ciudad

El centro de Caracas es mi lugar favorito para caminar, pasear y disfrutar de las bondades de una ciudad que ya cuenta con mas de cuatro siglos de historia, esta es una zona en donde los restos de la urbe colonial se mezclan con la extravagante modernidad de los edificios de siglos más recientes, es una zona turística, comercial y gubernamental, en donde siempre encontraremos un gran dinamismo, por lo tanto es un espacio lleno de ruido, mucha gente y en donde a diario nos encontraremos con nuevas situaciones.

Churches, banks, ministries, restaurants, squares, towers and palaces, all this and more can be found in a few blocks that make up the so-called historic center of Caracas, therefore there are spaces for all tastes and all needs, but a An important feature in the entire area is that it has the presence of many trees that with their large and leafy branches create a very cool environment, which allows for a pleasant climate at times when the sun shines with all its might.

Iglesias, bancos, ministerios, restaurantes, plazas, torres y palacios, todo eso y más nos podremos encontrar en unas pocas cuadras que conforman el denominado casco histórico de Caracas, por lo tanto hay espacios para todos los gustos y todas las necesidades, pero una característica importante en toda la zona es que la misma cuenta con la presencia de muchos árboles que con sus grandes y frondosas ramas generan un ambiente muy fresco, que permite un clima agradable en los momentos en donde el sol arrecia con todas sus fuerzas.

In general terms, the center of the city is a very colorful area, perhaps sometimes those tones are far from reality or the originality of those colonial buildings, but this time I once again thought of black and white as the ideal tool that allowed me to create a photographic series with which we could not only learn a little more about the daily life of the city, but also allow us to travel back in time and open our minds to the possibility of imagining what the city would have been like many years ago. .

En términos generales el centro de la ciudad es una zona muy colorida, quizás a veces esos tonos se alejan de la realidad o la originalidad de esos edificios coloniales, pero eso en esta oportunidad volví a pensar en el blanco y negro como la herramienta ideal que me permitiera crear una serie fotográfica con la cual pudiéramos no solo conocer un poco mas de la cotidianidad de la ciudad, sino que también nos permitiera viajar en el tiempo y nuestra mente se abrirá a la posibilidad de imaginarse como habría sido la ciudad muchos años atrás.

Caracas is an incredible city, which always lends itself to the generation of images that turn out to be very interesting and in which you can admire in detail the characteristics of a modern city, in constant change and at the same time with glorious vestiges of a great past. It is a city that has become my photographic studio, since in its spaces, streets, gardens and squares I have learned to live my passion for photography to the fullest, in it I have learned from my mistakes and in each outing I manage to accumulate a invaluable experience that later helps me to continue improving my technique.

Caracas es una ciudad increíble, que siempre se presta para la generación de imágenes que resultan ser muy interesantes y en las cuales se pude admirar a detalle las características de una urbe moderna, en constante cambio y al mismo tiempo con vestigios de un pasado grande gloriosos, es una ciudad que se ha convertido en mi estudio de fotográfico, ya que en sus espacios, calles jardines y plazas he aprendido a vivir al máximo mi pasión por la fotografía, en ella he aprendido de mis errores y en cada salida logro acumular una experiencia invaluable que luego me sirve para seguir mejorando mi técnica.
