Random Photographs
All of us who venture into the wonderful art of photography eventually face the same reality: there are images we’ve captured that don’t fit into any specific category, because they’re random shots, creative expressions, or unique moments. We often think that storing them in a file until we can categorize them is the best option, but the reality is that sometimes they end up forgotten in the digital abyss, never seeing the light of day and therefore never being shared with the world.

Todos los que incursionamos en el maravilloso arte de la fotografía con el pasar del tiempo nos enfrentamos a una misma realidad y es que existen imágenes capturadas que se quedan sin un nicho en específico, esto debido a que se trata de tomas aleatorias, individualidades creativas o momentos unicos. Muchas veces pensamos que guardarlas en un archivo hasta llegar el momento de poder las categorizar es la opción más viable, pero la realidad es que a veces quedan arrumbadas en el olvido digital, sin ver la luz del día y por lo tanto sin ser compartidas con el mundo.
A while back, I posted something similar to this, in which I presented a photo series that lacks a common thread, a central theme, or a predefined narrative—since they are simply photographs whose only shared characteristic is that they are all in black and white. Yet each was captured in a different context, showing us diverse subjects and varying depths of field; however, in this instance, they all depict the same city, since all the images you’re looking at were taken in the heart of Caracas.
Hace un tiempo atrás hice una publicación similar a esta En dónde presentaba una serie fotográfica que no lleva un hilo conductor, una temática central o un discurso predefinido, puesto que solamente son fotografías cuya realidad común es que todas se presentan en blanco y negro. Pero cada una capturada bajo un contexto distinto, mostrándonos objetivos disímiles y con profundidades dispares, pero en esta oportunidad representando a la misma ciudad, puesto que todas las imágenes que están observando fueron capturadas en el corazón de la ciudad de Caracas.
Here we see the city in all its nuances; this is how we come across modern towers, historic buildings, large murals, transformed spaces, scenes from the subway system, and places that stand out for the natural beauty that’s always present in this national capital. Here, no photo competes to be better than another; here, individuality takes center stage, and my city is the ideal backdrop. I hope you enjoy this post.
Aquí observamos la ciudad desde todos sus matices, es de esta forma como encontramos torres modernas, edificios antiguos, grandes murales, espacios trastocados, escenas del sistema subterráneo y lugares que se destacan por esa naturaleza que siempre se encuentra presente en esta capital nacional. Acá ninguna foto compite por ser mejor que otra, aquí las individualidades son las protagonistas y mi ciudad el escenario ideal. Espero que disfruten de este post
