Because of that, I also want to always be able to contribute and participate regularly in this community by sharing my culinary experiences exploring various culinary spots that I have visited. This time, I want to share my culinary experience when I visited one of the cafes that are currently viral and hits, Potte House Café & All Day Dining.

Potte House Café & All Day Dining
Pottee House Café is a coffee shop located in Dr. Manysur Street no. 98, Padang Bulan – Medan Selayang District. In terms of location and location, this café is very strategic because it is in an area with various vital objects in Medan City, one of which is the University of North Sumatra, the largest campus in North Sumatra. There are more than 30,000 students studying there, making the area around the campus area a golden location and a target for business owners, especially the food and beverage business. Around Dr. Mansyur Street has a lot of cafes, coffee shops or restaurants trying to take the momentum to get lucky here. These various food and beverage businesses offer different food concepts and menus.

Potte House Café is one of the prominent cafés in the area. When, I passed Dr. Mansyur Street, we will be curious about the concept this place has to offer. From a distance, or even from the outside, we are already interested in seeing the design of the building. This café building is quite large, located in a shopping and business building area. The concept is unique and not monotonous, I find it difficult to describe it. Maybe, these photos of the front can be an illustration for you.

The inside of the Potte House Café was even more interesting than I thought. One word that I can describe about the interior of this café is “Aesthetic”. Yup, there are no other words that can describe this Potte House Café, every place and corner of this room is very well conceptualized and beautiful. If you are the type of person who likes to take photos or selfies, I guarantee you will be very happy to be here.

Potte House Café uses a three-store building for its business. Each floor, always has an attraction for every visitor. I like the way this café pays attention to furniture, walls, decorative lights and even various ornaments to support and make the image of this café look very beautiful. Since I came here just before lunch, I decided to sit on the second floor.

Good Food, Good Mood from Potte House Cafe

So, when I came to Potte House, I tried to exchange my food package voucher. I've bought several food vouchers that can be used in various cafes in Medan City. This method is more efficient and can also save me time to choose a menu. I'm the type of person who gets confused easily if given a menu that has too many food and drink lists. I ordered a serving of spicy fried noodles with chicken katsu and also Avocado Toast for my lunch at that moment. How does it feel ? see my review below.

Spicy Fried Noodle with Chicken Katsu
For sure, fried noodles is one of my favorite foods. If I come to a cafe or restaurant, and I'm confused about what to order. Usually, I order fried rice or fried noodles. Because based on my experience, I have never found fried rice or fried noodles that have a bad taste, every time I eat them they are always delicious.

My fried noodle order was served quite quickly, when I saw it visually, I could already feel the delicacy and spiciness. The spicy fried noodles from Potte House Café seem to use instant noodles which are cooked by stir-frying them with Indonesian spices and adding the original spices from the instant noodles.

I immediately tasted this spicy fried noodle, and it turned out to be very delicious and just right. The spicy taste and the combination of spices used is perfect for my tongue, and I'm sure it's also suitable for many people. The texture of the noodles is also a bit wet but it makes this dish very tasty. Chicken Katsu with chili and onion pieces on top is also an important part. Chicken katsu has the taste of normal fried chicken, but the combination with the spicy gorang noodles makes this dish complete.

Avocado Toast
Next, I want to review the second food menu that I tried at this café. Avocado Toast, usually served as a breakfast menu in various places. I'm not used to eating a dish like this, and this might be my first time trying it. Visually, Avocado Toast is bread that is baked and then given avocado jam. As for the toppings, I saw chunks of ham and also a prayer-chopped poached egg.

In taste, I can still accept and eat this dish. I don't really like avocados for savory dishes. In my mind, avocado is one fruit and/or vegetable that is better suited for sweet dishes. But, I enjoy it. Moreover, the pieces of meat and eggs also make this dish more filling.

Black Glutinous Ice / Es Ketan Hitam
For drinks, I get several drink menu choices that are bundled with this food. Like, ice tea, ice cendol, lemon tea and Es Ketan Hitam. I was interested in trying black sticky rice ice, because of the four drink menus that were offered to me, only black sticky rice ice which I had never tried.

Black sticky rice is a cold drink or dessert made from fresh coconut milk, black sticky tape, palm sugar and ice cubes. This drink is very refreshing and sweet, perfect to accompany my spicy meal this time. That's all the stories I can share with friends, see you in my next culinary and food review.
