Hello everyone
How are you today ? I hope that all of my friends, especially those in the Weekend Experience Community, are always in good health and also happy in living this life. We must also always be enthusiastic in living this life, as friends know if challenges and problems always come to our lives and if we are always enthusiastic, then problems will be resolved and resolved better.

Can't believe the passage of time brings us back to the weekend again. What are you guys doing this weekend? many choices that people can do on weekends, such as doing hobbies, sports, going to the beach, sleeping or anywhere that is important we like to do. This weekend, I traveled to Rantau Prapat City to attend a family event.

Rantau Prapat City is a city that has many memories and stories for me. This city is the hometown of my father and I often come to this city every year, especially during the holidays. I have many family and relatives in this city, and my family's land is also here. Historically, my late grandfather, Harun Ritonga, came from Aek Bila, South Tapanuli, who went to Bandar Gula Village – Rantau Prapat City to build agricultural land and seek a new, better life.

But the thing that makes me feel nostalgic and nostalgic is not the meeting with relatives, not because of the traditional events that are held but the coffee and toast that keeps me attached to this city. Like this weekend, even though I've been driving for 8 hours and arrived very early in the morning in this city. The next morning, I went to my favorite coffee shop in town.

Breakfast at On Mada Coffee Shop

When I arrive at Rantau Prapat City, I always make time to come to this coffee shop. On Mada Coffee Shop is a traditional coffee shop that may be found in many cities in Indonesia. The building of this coffee shop is very simple, it doesn't even have walls, it's just a light steel construction assembled into one shape like the foundation of a house and if it rains, everyone is guaranteed to get wet.

It used to be, when I first came to this coffee shop. This coffee shop is only a small building and the customers sit under a tree with only modest mats. Conditions are better now, customers are already sitting on chairs and can put their food and drinks on the table. The owner of this coffee shop only cares about the coffee served and srikaya toast as the main menu of this coffee shop.

I came to this coffee shop on Saturday morning, and this coffee shop has a lot of customers. The majority of all come in communal or group, can gather because of friendship or because of work. So, we will not find visitors who come alone to drink coffee like in big city coffee shops. On Mada Coffee Shop still functions as a coffee shop in the era before social media, when all visitors exchanged stories without having to care about notifications from cellphone screens. In this coffee shop don't ever expect peace and quiet because we will keep hearing people talking.

The first time I came to this coffee shop when I was 8-9 years old, I came with my uncle using his old motorbike. At that time, the coffee shop had no seats or tables, and we sat on the mats provided. My uncle ordered me toast and Iced Milk Tea, my uncle did not allow me to drink coffee because I was a child and until now, I always order iced milk tea when I come to this coffee shop and never order coffee.

Decades after I first came to this coffee shop, I still feel the same taste from the srikaya toast they serve. The srikaya jam from this coffee shop is homemade from this coffee shop and is a trademark of this coffee shop. It tastes very sweet, savory and very delicious. Moreover, the bread used is burned using coals so that it adds to the delicacy of this srikaya toast.

The Iced milk tea and srikaya toast from On Mada Coffee Shop will always remind me of my uncle. He is dead, and I as a nephew are quite close to him and going to this coffee shop is a nostalgic moment for me. I believe memories will last forever if those happy moments are tied to food and drink, it will definitely feel more nostalgic when we go back to eating the same menu with past memories. Like my memories.

This is my weekend this time in Rantau Prapat City, breakfast on srikaya toast, drinking iced milk tea and remembering nostalgic moments in this place. How about the weekend friends? always have fun.

Yes, coffee shops have dominated the market and have loyal customers in this city. If you arrive in this city, try the toast from the photo, it's very appetizing, especially the srikaya jam makes it even sweeter and delicious.

That's true, especially for the generation that lived before the era of technology and social media. Some of the visitors to this coffee shop are in their 50s and interact with their friends. I think that's the function of a coffee shop, as a gathering place, exchanging ideas and ideas, exchanging stories during this week and food and drinks as friends.
