Creative Rebranding Suggestions for Leofinance Community
When I first got to this space I found solace and it became so addictive that the first place I go to the moment I am awake is my Hive account. It's been a few years and the enthusiasm to wake up to Hive hasn't changed, instead, it has heightened.
So, it wouldn't be far-fetched if I am suggesting rebranding names for Leofinance with something that surrounds enthusiasm, energy, vigor, and every other label that demonstrates the sense of liveliness and vibrancy that each of the communities in this space exudes.

I have searched and searched for suitable names for the community that has set the pace for the rest of the communities on Hive when it comes to the focus of a censorship free environment that Hive stands for and believe me it was fun trying them all out, saying them out loud and even googling the meanings behind the words I thought of.
I have a few names in mind, although the first had me confused with the meanings, I am sharing it because I am hoping the community will pick it up and make it better.
Here we go;
LYOHOB or LEOHOB
Lyohob - Dissolve into a space where everyone and everything is accommodated.
I figured some of us would want the Leo name to stick forever. And that would be because we have grown not only accustomed to it but we've been emotionally attached to the meanings we have given to it as the years passed by.
Personally, I love the feeling of the Lion behind the financial front the community portrayed. This is because roaring has been a complementary element of the power that Hive and LeoFinance had given each lion to be who they are and to do so without any form of censorship.
All they had to do was bring their unique gifts and talents to the table and be accepted by one and all.
So to keep the Leo vibe alive, I changed the lettering into something that would still sound similar to LEO. The hub had to be changed to Hob in the same context.
Believe me, I freaked out when I googled the meaning of hob. Somehow it connoted something dirty and wild. I don't know if the community will accept it. But for the whole bundle, Lyohob, I felt would mean dissolving into a space where everyone and everything is accommodated. This is clearly what Leofinance is trying to do with the rebranding.
OMNEESHAIR or OMNEESHARE
The second name on my list is Omneeshair or Omneeshare. This would work its way into The Everything App that we want Leofinance to become. Omni means all, and share would be directed towards accommodating everyone who has something to share.
LYOVEST
Another great find is Lyovest but I did not really like this one because the vest felt like a centralized power which is not exactly what we want to stand for as a Blockchain. We stand for decentralization and vest seems the opposite of what we do here. But if anyone has their own thoughts towards the word, Vest, I'll love to hear it.
LYORUSH
The fourth one, Lyorush, rush being one of the words I thought matched a censorship-free Blockchain and binding it with our beloved LEO, turned into Lyorush. Again, I am open to different meanings for this word.
But it would feel good to share that the rush could be perceived in the context of the ecstatic feeling we feel when we are excited about something.
The adrenaline rush, the intense pleasure, etc. So having a platform with a name that insinuates and promises a glimpse of excitement, and pleasure would be enticing since everyone will agree we got roped and called Hive home because we feel this way about this platform.
LEOZEST or LYOZEST
The last one on my list is Leozest or Lyozest. This could take the place of Leovest. This time, no form of authority is given to a single entity, instead, everyone has a voice and it's a typical censorship resistance word.
So, everything that surrounds the word, Zest, being enthusiasm, interest, eagerness, energy, etc would stand still in the grand scheme of things as it embodies everything we want to bring to the table with the rebranding. Plus the Leo could signify strength or leadership as it has always been the fortitude that held us together till this day.
If you ask me to pick a favorite word, it would be Lyohob because somehow a few good definitions I found had something relating to a holder like some sort of shelf where things can be kept warm. Imagine that with our leoverse anyhow you want... But the most loved is LYORUSH, I fell for the adrenaline thing....
These are my suggestions for the rebranding. When I have other ones within the deadline, I'll drop them as comments on the official post. Tell me what you think of these names, do they inspire something in you, would they suit our beloved community?

Girl, these names are so funny but I love the meanings behind them. Leorush is my fave cause of how it rolls off the tongue.
However, ‘LEOFINANCE’ is so goated, wouldn’t change it for a thing.

You raise a good point about
vestimplying centralization where we want to have decentralization is as much as we can. There seems to be one exception to the view you expressed about vests: the Yellow Vests in France from 2019 and 2020.Back then, it was a decentralized movement protesting the unbearable tax burdens imposed on the people by the national government. Due to a law requiring all drivers to have a yellow vest in their vehicles for use in emergencies, yellow vests were transformed into a symbol of dissatisfaction with government rule and power. Everyone had a yellow vest, yet there was no declared leader or face of the movement; it was truly decentralized. It took the COVID-19 being named a global pandemic for the protests to stop.
It's August 2023, and I have no idea if the Yellow Vest movement continues or not. Even if there are no more protests, I have to think that the Yellow Vests are far from finished.
Oh! Magna, I had no idea the yellow vest exists. I would probably have added it to my argument.
But it's great that I learned something new about this decentralized movement from you.
I'll Google it and read more, in the future, I'll have better words crafted for the word, Vest especially if I am speaking in terms and support of decentralization.
