Improving your relationship with money

avatar

We are always thinking of ways to earn more money, but we never spend time understanding our relationship with money. We often subscribe to a scarcity mindset and don't allow enough time for abundance to reach us. A scarcity mindset leads you to believe that you will never have enough money, while an abundance mindset helps you understand that there is always enough money if you know how to use it wisely.

At the same time, some people tend to forget that money gives people the freedom to live the life that they want. And that, not being able to understand our relationship with money can result in lots of financial problems with relationships.

Financial Literacy is important

One of the possible reasons why your relationship with money might be keeping you poor, of which is the lack of financial education. Financial literacy education is an important factor in determining whether or not someone who grew up low-income can escape poverty as an adult.

When you don't take financial literacy seriously and spend your life chasing money, it can be really hard to get past this. The key is to learn how to work with your money for you to have more of it. If you think about your money as a limited resource that should be used as a tool, then you'll be able to channel these resources to accomplish a lot more for you.

If you want to improve your relationship with money you need to take the time to understand what makes it tick. A lot of us have a false understanding of how money works and this leads to many mistakes in life. The main problem is that we think money is something "out there" that's hard to understand when it's as close as our hand or mouth.

To improve your relationship with money you must try getting a better understanding of why you are making the wrong choices and not taking advantage of the opportunities that exist for you.

The best thing that you can do is to try to become more financially literate. This is because financial literacy is important if you want to improve your relationship with money.

Understand that Money is a reward for the value you give

You may be asking yourself, "How is money hurting me?" Well, you may not be thinking about it as a reward for the value you give and instead think of money as a means to get what you want.

Money is an energy that circulates through society. You can use it to get the rewards that you want - but it is imperative to understand the value of what you are giving to receive them. Money is just a form of energy that needs two sides - someone who gives and someone who receives. Understand this, and your relationship with money will be better!

You can't get anywhere if you are always broke. The way to grow your money is to be aware of what you're doing with it and make smarter decisions.

The old saying that "money doesn't grow on trees" is true. If you want more money, you have to do one of two things: find a new source or create more value in some way. One way you can do this is by finding ways to improve the value of your work, which will increase how much people will pay for it.

Conclusion

Money is essential for our lives, which influences how we view it. Many people define the worth of a person in terms of their net worth or salary. This is why many people struggle to find happiness when they struggle financially. So to get out of this unending trap, you must take control by becoming financially literate and looking for ways to provide value.

Dear @iskafan!
There is a saying in East Asian proverbs.

Those who think about money all the time are short on money.
However, those who do not think about money are rich in money.

Dear @iskafan!
I agree with you!
By the way, In my view, the rich enjoy bragging about their lives rather than teaching others how to invest their money!🙃

Financial literacy is such an important topic, and it's shameful and sad that so, so many normal people are just financially illiterate, and the fact that the system and the government actively strive to keep people this way is pretty stupid. Leo wants to fix this by providing the right tools for people to learn more and more about financial freedom and the way to achieve it.

I agree with you. Being Financially literate is important but there are so many factors trying to keep us out of the light.

They intend to keep us in the dark so we can continue to live in financial bondage and misery. I am glad that Leofinance fixes this, and I am proud to be a part of this community.

Thanks for stopping by. Thanks for choosing my post. I appreciate.

Indeed. For us to be financially free, we should first be financially literate. 😊

This is important financial advice here. Financial literacy is important and I often wish I had it earlier but I'm learning now and that is okay.
Thanks for this thoughtful post my girl.
How you doing, by the way?

Being financially literate is vital in having a positive and rewarding relationship with money, but it's not enough. I'm learning this the hard way, and I'm working on making my own relationship with money a better one.

To go along with financial literacy, we also need to have the proper mindset. What you said about money being an energy is true, and it needs to be harnessed to work in our favor. The Law of Attraction ties into this. Having a dynamic relationship with The Creator (however you identify The Creator) also ties into this. Again, I'm learning this the hard way, but I will learn!!

For some people, it's just a matter of changing a habit or two and that's it (which is great for them!). For others, reprogramming our thoughts to better channel the flow of money energy is needed. Many people have done this, including some Leos and Hivers.

In the end, it's the mental game which separates the Champions from the All-Stars or the very talented. Combine the mental game with financial literacy, and watch out!

I had to learn the mindset part the hard way too. And I must confess I learned to channel my thought pattern around money in the positive direction on Hive.

I miss that author though. He was the one whom I learned the laws of attraction from. Believe me, I applied it, and it worked.

So I have always remembered that apart from making good financial decisions, and putting ourselves out there, we also need to work on our limiting beliefs, by changing them and programming our minds to appreciate money and at the same time remind ourselves that 'money is our birthright, and we truly deserve it'.

It's been a while, @magnacarta, I hope you have well.

Thanks for visiting and contributing too. You know I appreciate you, at all times. ☺️

I'm doing well, @iskafan, thank you. I just had a few matters offline that needed attention. I also needed to catch up on sleep (you know how it can get once you're at a computer).

we also need to work on our limiting beliefs, by changing them and programming our minds to appreciate money and at the same time remind ourselves that 'money is our birthright, and we truly deserve it'.

(Emphasis in original)

This is true. Not that we acquire money by theft or other unsavory means, but just that the money is out there and we need to direct that flow of money energy our way.

Consistency on Hive is where I need to do more work, and I'm working on that. That's as much mental as it is anything else, too. You're further along in that than I am, so keep doing what you've been doing.

I always believed that value attracts money and that money only grows in the hands of forward-thinking individuals.

I believed that too. When we give value, we get money as reward. And every individual who is forward thinking as you said will always be able to grow it. Thanks for visiting. 💕
