A couple of beers in exchange for friendship... should I take it?

That evening, I decided to step out and have a few documents printed and photocopied. The plan was to eat out before I head back home since it was already late and I wasn't sure I would meet up with the market. Most importantly, I had run out of gas, and I hadn't been lucky getting my gas cylinder refilled.

Once I was done with my printing and photocopying, I stepped into the restaurant, and a fellow hailed, 'Hey, beautiful'. I was about to answer, 'Good evening, sir', when I raised my head and my eyes fell on a familiar face.

How I moved past the human who hailed me to the one I was familiar with, I have no idea. The only thing I remember was my Mr. Familiar, asking, 'what are you doing here? '.

I gave my reasons and walked passed him into the opening that led to the restaurant. Place my order, and sat back to respond to comments on my post. Mr. Familiar returned, asked for my contact information, paid for my order, and disappeared.

I was indeed grateful because I had spent a lot of money trying to get those documents printed and photocopied. The extra change felt like a blessing to me. When he called, later on, I had already returned home, and I do not step out at night. He understood and promised to call the next day, and see if my schedule would allow us to meet again.

I forgot. Until he called. When he did, I was a bit busy, and I couldn't see him. Fast forward to Sunday evening, I decided to step out again. I had no idea Mr. Familiar had seen me and called. I didn't pick it. I had left my device at home because I wasn't planning to stay out longer.

I returned home and returned his call, he told me, that his friend had fallen for me, and he is asking for permission to get my contact information and contact me. I agreed, hoping that when he calls, I'll either ignore those calls or block him(no, don't judge me... Hehehe)

Yep, he did call. A couple of times I'll pick up and say a few words, other times, I'll ignore them. Every single time, I'll swear under my breath because I kept forgetting to block him. Until, just a day before yesterday, he called again.

I did step out again, this time, sitting in another restaurant trying to clear my writing schedule and work on my account. When he called, I thought, it would be nice to have him come around, and of course, buy me dinner.. hahaha (now, you can judge... Lol)

I thought he wouldn't show up, but he did. Mr. Familiar came with him as well. Yes, he bought me dinner. I devoured everything without blinking... No, wait, I did shy at some point.. hahaha.

Now, I was so full I wouldn't even opt for another meal, but, my new friend wasn't having any of that. He proposed we leave the restaurant and sit somewhere else and have a few bottles of beer. At that point, I didn't want to have any beer because it was the middle of the week, and there was nothing to unwind. But, I jumped at the offer because I knew it was a great opportunity to get pictures for #beersaturday.

I didn't have a beer... No, I had fayrouz instead... No, way, there's no photo.. lol. But I had it with fish pepper soup.. yes, yes, I know I said I wouldn't dare eat again, but here we are... Forgive me... Hahaha

They both had a few meats and some decorated cucumbers.

Mr. Familiar and his new friend had their share of beer. And I asked for permission to get shots, they were open to it. And even joking asked that once I make the money for these pictures, I should share the spoils with them... Hehehehe

At the end of the day, I had a good time and a filled stomach. They took me home safely, and return to their respective hostels. Now, I'm I going to see them again?

No way... I am still going ahead with blocking him. As for Mr. Familiar, I am stuck with him. He will ask for an explanation but I sincerely have none.

I don't have the balls to do anything of the things his friends would want me to do. So, I should put an end to it right before it starts.

I'm I doing the right thing? Do you think there's another way I can handle this? Don't even ask me to talk about it with him... There's no room for negotiation... 😂

Wait a minute.....did I mention my new friend is the same human whom I said hailed me at the beginning of this story? Please, get the facts right ☺️
