It's amazing how music connects us. I find peace and satisfaction in being around people when we are all nodding to a few tracks. I often forget my anxieties of being outdoors and I tend to watch the time fly. A day ago, I had decided to move past all the work I scheduled for my day and visited a friend in his barbing salon.

I did not know he would be so excited to see me. He was! He showed this in every way he could. Buying me drinks. Snacks. Food. Just about anything to make my stay better. I don't know how he could tell I could get easily bored so he kept coming up with conversations and if I asked for a particular track, he will let me listen by playing the jam.

Other times, he will ask if I have heard a particular song, and if I said no, he let me listen. He has great taste in music. Almost similar to mine. Some of his recommendations get played even though I have heard them before. And he seemed so happy about my presence. In a way that he paused in between shaving a customer to ask if I'm okay and I'll nod in agreement.

When it was time for me to go, he sounded sad, and l had already told him I had a meeting by 6 pm on Discord which I didn't attend because he was looking all sad when I mentioned it. So when I finally wanted to leave he knew he would be selfish if he asked I stayed more seeing that I skipped my meeting to spend more time with him. He let me go. But that was after he made sure I had dinner in a parcel to go.

I was indeed grateful for the last part because I did not cook anything and it was nice knowing that I wouldn't have to whip up anything once I got home. Later in the evening, he called and after every little conversation, he asked if I'll come back again the next day.

Of course, he asked when I took the taxi in front of his salon, and I laughed because I knew deep down, doing such things are rare for me. And that was just his lucky day which he was able to make me feel special too.

That evening call was supposed to be his chance to get a positive response. But I told him I had an appointment the next day and I apologized. He understood. My appointment however was my Hive account which I needed to catch up with my friends... Lol.

The best part of visiting him was the music. We listened to tons of them. And I left there feeling energetically ready to face my goals and objectives, moving the pieces off the chess board and sending them to battle.
