Hola amigos amantes de la música, en esta oportunidad no les traigo un nuevo cover como es habitual, en esta ocasión quiero compartir con ustedes fragmentos de dos conciertos a los que asistí la noche de ayer, y relatarles un poco sobre esta experiencia disfrutando de buena música.

Hello friends music lovers, this time I do not bring you a new cover as usual, this time I want to share with you fragments of two concerts that I attended last night, and tell you a little about this experience enjoying good music.

En primer lugar asistí a la presentación del Cuarteto Adolphe Sax, en Bordes Galería-Café, cuatro talentosos saxofonistas que nos deleitaron con magnificas piezas musicales, un grupo conformado por el maestro Mario Zambrano, Luzdamary Rey, Alberto Rey y William Florez, quienes además ofrecieron un show lleno de buen humor y compartieron información destacada sobre los temas que interpretaban, tocaron un repertorio de unos 15 temas, entre ellos pasodoble, temas como Bésame Mucho, Brasil, Bethoven Op. 113: Marcha Turca, piezas de Jazz, entre otros temas cuyos nombres no recuerdo, pero que podrán escuchar en el video que les he presentado.

First I attended the presentation of the Adolphe Sax Quartet, in Bordes Gallery-Café, four talented saxophonists who delighted us with magnificent musical pieces, a group formed by maestro Mario Zambrano, Luzdamary Rey, Alberto Rey and William Florez, who also offered a show full of good humor and shared outstanding information about the songs they played, they played a repertoire of about 15 songs, including pasodoble, themes like Bésame Mucho, Brazil, Bethoven Op. 113: Turkish March, Jazz pieces, among other songs whose names I do not remember, but you can hear in the video that I have presented.

La entrada a esta presentación tenía un costo de 5 dólares, hubo muy poca asistencia, probablemente no se hizo mucha publicidad al evento, sin embargo, los músicos hicieron su presentación igual como si la hicieran para un público grande. Llamaba la atención los diferentes roles instrumentistas, pues era notable que cada uno de los músicos estaba encargado de sonidos específicos, ya fuesen melodías graves, agudas, lentas o rápidas.

The entrance to this presentation had a cost of 5 dollars, there was very little attendance, probably there was not much publicity for the event, however, the musicians made their presentation as if they were making it for a large audience. The different instrumentalist roles were striking, as it was noticeable that each of the musicians was in charge of specific sounds, whether they were low, high, slow or fast melodies.

Luego de esta presentación asistí a otro local cercano llamado Sargento Pimienta, en donde se presentaba el Dueto, Los Black Jack, una chica y un chico con un amplio repertorio de Covers de música de los 80 y 90’s.

After this presentation I went to another nearby venue called Sargento Pimienta, where the duet, Los Black Jack, a girl and a guy with a wide repertoire of 80's and 90's music covers, was performing.

Ambos músicos tocaban la guitarra y cantaban, al mismo tiempo que eran acompañados con un backing track, me gustó mucho esta presentación, además de valorar el evidente talento de los músicos, me encantó la selección de temas, pues la mayoría eran representativos para mí, temas que marcaron una época de descubrimiento musical y por tanto me generaron cierta nostalgia, entre los temas que más me gustaron se encontraban, 99 LuftBalloons de Nena, Barbie Girl de Aqua, Baby One More Time de Britney Spears, Tubthumping de Chumbawamba, Michael Jackson, Don’t Speak de No doubt, Wannabe de Spice Girls entre otros.

Both musicians played the guitar and sang, at the same time they were accompanied by a backing track, I really liked this presentation, besides appreciating the obvious talent of the musicians, I loved the selection of songs, because most of them were representative for me, songs that marked an era of musical discovery and therefore generated me some nostalgia, among the songs that I liked the most were, 99 LuftBalloons by Nena, Barbie Girl by Aqua, Baby One More Time by Britney Spears, Tubthumping by Chumbawamba, Michael Jackson, Don't Speak by No doubt, Wannabe by Spice Girls among others.

En algunos momentos sentí que el Backing Track tenía mucha más presencia que la ejecución de los músicos, o la voz tenia tanto reverb, que se perdía un poco lo humano de la voz, aun así, me pareció esplendido, además de que la actitud carismática de la chica, hacía la presentación mucho más disfrutable.

In some moments I felt that the backing track had much more presence than the performance of the musicians, or the voice had so much reverb that the human aspect of the voice was lost, even so, I thought it was splendid, and the charismatic attitude of the girl made the presentation much more enjoyable.

Para mí fue una bonita noche de buena música, pasando desde lo más relajado como un concierto de Saxofón hasta los más movidos Hits de los 80 y 90’s.

For me it was a nice night of good music, going from the most relaxed as a Saxophone concert to the most moving Hits of the 80's and 90's.
