Hola amigos de Hive, en esta oportunidad les traigo unas fotografías, de una langosta o saltamonte hoja verde , un insecto cuyo nombre científico es Stilpnochlora couloniana, el cual es muy común de ver casi en todo el mundo, por lo que este insecto podría no sorprenderte mucho, pero si los observas detenidamente te podrás dar cuenta de lo bonito que es.

Grasshoppers or locusts have a very bad reputation around the world, especially because they appear in the bible as a plague that devastates crops, but the truth is that in the modern era swarms of these insects are now very rare due to control methods that have been implemented. Los saltamontes o langostas tienen muy mala fama alrededor del mundo, sobre todo por que figuran en la biblia como una plaga, que arrasa con los cultivos, pero lo cierto es que en la era moderna los enjambres de estos insectos ya son muy poco comunes debido a métodos de control que se han implementado. Este insecto tiene facetas en las que alterna entre un insecto solitario y un insecto gregario, dependiendo de factores como la época del año y su ciclo biológico., es en su etapa gregaria en donde se moviliza en enjambre y puede representar una amenaza para los cultivos.

En algunos países estos insectos sirven de alimento, como en México en donde se consumen de manera abundante, es casi como una tradición, yo la verdad jamás los probaría.

Well this grasshopper that I have photographed I found it by chance on the piano cover, in the living room of my house, sometimes the insects enter at night attracted by the light of the bulbs, and settle anywhere until dawn. Taking advantage of the fact that it was perched on a white background, I decided to take some pictures, then I made it walk a little, so that it could perch on my hand, and take it to the planter, where I placed it on the leaves of a plant, where I could realize how well this insect camouflages itself in the vegetation, not for nothing it is known as green leafhopper. I took a picture and suddenly I didn't see it anymore, since surely without me noticing it, it took a big jump and flew away.

Y bien este saltamontes que he fotografiado lo encontré por casualidad sobre el cobertor del piano, en la sala de mi casa, a veces los insectos entran en la noche atraídos por la luz de los bombillos, y se posan en cualquier lugar hasta el amanecer. Aprovechando que estaba posado sobre un fondo blanco, decidí realizar algunas fotografías, luego lo hice caminar un poco, para que se posara sobre mi mano, y poderlo llevar a la jardinera, en donde lo coloque sobre las hojas de una planta, en donde pude darme cuenta lo bien que se camufla este insecto en la vegetación, no por nada se le conoce como saltamontes hoja verde. Tomé una fotografía y de pronto ya no lo ví más, ya que seguramente sin que me diera cuenta dio un gran salto y se fue volando.
