LOH Contest #63: ¿Cambiarias 10 años de tu vida por riqueza y fama? (ES/EN)

Holaa toda la comunidad de Ladies of Hive, hoy quiero participar en el Ladies of Hive Community Contest #63, pues me ha encantado la pregunta planteada de si Cambiarias 10 años de tu vida por riqueza y fama.
Esta propuesta resulta tentadora, y creo que es una de esas propuestas que haría el mismo diablo, y que seguramente muchos aceptarían. La idea de tener fama y riqueza es muy atractiva, muchas personas sueñan con eso, tal vez la fama no es tan deseada como se creería, eso pienso, aunque en esta era digital en donde las redes sociales tienen una gran influencia sobre la mentalidad, mayormente en la de los más jóvenes, para quienes surge la necesidad de ser reconocidos de alguna manera, y aprovechando las facilidades que ofrece la tecnología, ahora han surgido nuevos trabajos como ser Youtuber, o influencer, que permiten además de generar ingresos tener fama dentro de las redes sociales.
En mi caso, más que fama, en algún momento he deseado reconocimiento como músico, pues cuando se es artista, si tu arte no es apreciada por nadie, puede ser muy desalentador, toda expresión cultural necesita ser valorada por alguien más. Por ello, para mí siempre existirá la necesidad de ser escuchado, pero no puedo decir que esté en búsqueda de fama, pues más bien considero que ser famoso puede ser bastante frustrante, muchos famosos no tiene absoluta privacidad, son perseguidos por fotógrafos, por fans, su privacidad se ve violentada por los medios de comunicación, están sometidos a escándalos, ese es el precio de la fama. No por nada tantos famosos terminan suicidandose, o los asesinan simulando suicidio por que se revelan contra muchas cosas ocultas dentro de la industria del entretenimiento.
Por otro lado, la riqueza es más tentadora, si tienes mucho dinero, puedes tener una vida cómoda, puedes darte todos los gustos que desees, y puedes ayudar a los demás. Existen ideas que he oído en algún momento, de que ser rico es malo, no sé de donde salen estas frases, pero la verdad es que la maldad o la bondad está en cada individuo, rico o pobre. Y si creciste en una familia donde se te cultivaron valores, y eres bondadoso, ser rico mejorará tu vida y la de muchas personas, existen una gran cantidad de filántropos que otorgan parte de su riqueza a fundaciones de ayuda. Y por supuesto están los ricos malos, que roban, o generan riqueza por medios que dañan ya sea a otras personas, animales, naturaleza y que finalmente su riqueza es destinada a propósitos que no aportan o contribuyen en lo absoluto con el bienestar de nadie o nada. No está de más citar el caso de los gobernantes de mi país Venezuela, que han puesto a toda una sociedad en decadencia, mientras ellos acumulan más y más riqueza a costa de los recursos de nuestro país.
Para responder finalmente la pregunta, diré que no, no cambiaría 10 años de mi vida por riqueza y fama. Pienso que es necesario tener dinero para satisfacer todas nuestras necesidades, para tener una excelente calidad de vida, para comer bien, darse gustos, viajar, adquirir productos que te permitan disfrutar más de la vida, por ejemplo, en mi caso mi guitarra eléctrica que me ha permitido experimentar grandes momentos, con amigos, presentaciones, y sobre todo poder expresarme artísticamente, cada quien necesita tener la capacidad económica para tener una vida de calidad. Como ya dije antes la fama no me resulta atractiva, más allá de que mi arte sea valorada.
Creo que en 10 años son muchas las cosas que puedo experimentar sin ser rico y famoso, me parece mucho más importante, y más aún si tienes personas que te quieren y a quienes quieres. Poniendo las cosas en contraste, tal vez con riqueza podría recorrer el mundo, eso es algo que me gustaría hacer en algún momento, poder visitar distintos países que llaman mi atención, eso es lo primero que haría su tuviese mucho dinero, pero no entregaría 10 años de mi vida para conseguirlo, prefiero conseguirlo por mis propios medios.
Al final aunque suene trillado, la verdadera riqueza está en la salud, en la familia, en los amigos, que son cosas que el dinero no puede comprar, por que en muchas ocasiones ni el dinero, puede solventar un problema de salud, lo mejor es vivir sanamente y pedir por nuestra salud y bienestar.

This proposal is tempting, and I think it is one of those proposals that the devil himself would make, and that many would surely accept. The idea of having fame and wealth is very attractive, many people dream about it, maybe fame is not as desired as you would think, I think, although in this digital age where social networks have a great influence on the mentality, especially in the youngest, for whom the need to be recognized arises someway, and taking advantage of the facilities offered by technology, now new jobs have emerged as being Youtuber, or influencer, which allow in addition to generating income have fame within social networks.
In my case, more than fame, at some point I have wanted recognition as a musician, because when you are an artist, if your art is not appreciated by anyone, it can be very discouraging, all cultural expression needs to be valued by someone else. Therefore, for me there will always be the need to be heard, but I cannot say that I am in search of fame, because I rather consider that being famous can be quite frustrating, many famous people do not have absolute privacy, they are pursued by photographers, by fans, their privacy is violated by the media, they are subjected to scandals, that is the price of fame. Not for nothing some of them end commiting suicide, or they are killed simulating suicide, becase they reveeal themselves against some evil things inside the entertainmente industry.
On the other hand, wealth is more tempting, if you have a lot of money, you can have a comfortable life, you can indulge yourself as much as you want, and you can help others. There are ideas that I have heard at some point, that being rich is bad, I do not know where these phrases come from, but the truth is that evil or goodness is in every individual, rich or poor. And if you grew up in a family where you were cultivated values, and you are kind, being rich will improve your life and that of many people, there are a lot of philanthropists who give part of their wealth to aid foundations. And of course there are the bad rich, who steal, or generate wealth by means that harm other people, animals, nature and finally their wealth is destined to purposes that do not contribute at all to the welfare of anyone or anything. It is not superfluous to cite the case of the goverment of my country Venezuela, who have put an entire society in decadence, while they accumulate more and more wealth at the expense of the resources of our country.
To finally answer the question, I will say that no, I would not exchange 10 years of my life for wealth and fame. I think it is necessary to have money to satisfy all our needs, to have an excellent quality of life, to eat well, to indulge, to travel, to acquire products that allow you to enjoy life more, for example, in my case my electric guitar that has allowed me to experience great moments, with friends, performances, and above all to express myself artistically, everyone needs to have the economic capacity to have a quality life. As I said before, fame is not attractive to me, beyond the fact that my art is valued.
I think that in 10 years there are many things I can experience without being rich and famous, it seems to me much more important, and even more so if you have people who love you and whom you love. Putting things in contrast, maybe with wealth I could travel the world, that is something I would like to do at some point, to visit different countries that call my attention, that is the first thing I would do if I had a lot of money, but I would not give 10 years of my life to get it, I prefer to get it by my own means.
In the end, although it sounds trite, the real richness is in health, family, friends, which are things that money can not buy, because in many cases not even money can solve a health problem, the best thing is to live healthy and ask for our health and welfare.

Asi es la fama por si solo n tiene valor, lo que tiene valor es el aporte que hagas al mundo y allí se puede justificar la fama, que por lo general es pasajera tambien. gracias por comentar , saludos

Yes, fame is a tricky thing. Sure, the person gets a lot of recognition but there are downsides too. Money has a powerful attraction. It's sad that people, in reality, will do anything to get it, even do bad things to get it.
