Well, I had a hard time seeing it at first, since it is in the undergrowth and if it had continued like this, it practically would not have grown strongly and if it had, the results would not have been very positive.

We want to talk about the care of banana plants.

As we can see, this plant was planted 2 months ago, but unfortunately it was neglected by the weeds that were around it, so its growth has been very slow.

Why is it important that after planting a banana plant to keep its environment clean?

Because like many other plants, the banana plant, its leaves are the ones who extract the vitamin that the sun gives it, and the life of it is mostly in its leaves, so it has to do the whole process with the sun and that is what allows it to grow strong, but as I just mentioned, it is the leaves of the banana plant, and we have just seen in this picture, the leaves of the banana plant are the ones who extract the vitamin that the sun gives it, and we just saw in this photograph, it shows that the plant was not well cared for, not only was it not well cared for, but also because the weeds started to cover it, it was very unlikely that it would grow stronger and it was also very likely that on the other hand, it would die.

At home we had the opportunity to create a super tool, which still has no name, but it is very useful, because when we use it, it does not extract too much soil, but only concentrates on removing the weeds, while the soil remains in place.

It only consists of a metal blade that does the work, and is supported by 2 pieces of iron that together with a base, where a piece of wood is introduced and then, the tool is formed.

¿Por qué hacerle mantenimiento a las plantas de plátano?

Hola queridos amigos.

Pueden ver esta planta de plátanos?

Pues me costó verla al principio, ya que esta entre la maleza y de haber seguido así, prácticamente no hubiera crecido con fuerza y de haberlo hecho, los resultados no serían muy positivos.

Queremos hablar sobre el cuidado de las plantas de plátano.

Cómo podemos observar, esta planta que se sembró hace 2 meses, pero, lamentablemente se descuido de la maleza que estaba a su alrededor, así que por ende su crecimiento ha sido muy lento.

¿Por qué es importante que luego de haber sembrado una planta de plátano se mantenga limpio su entorno?

Porque como muchas otras plantas, la planta de plátano, sus hojas son quiénes extraen la vitamina que el sol le da, y la vida de ella está más que todo en sus hojas, así que tiene que hacer todo el proceso junto al sol y es lo que permite que esta crezca fuerte, pero como acabo de mencionar, y acabamos de ver en esta fotografía, se muestra que la planta no tenía un buen cuidado no solamente no tenía un buen cuidado sino que también debido a que la maleza comenzó a cubrirla, era muy poco probable que ella creciera más fuerte y también era muy probable que por otro lado, ella muriera.

La razón es porque simplemente la maleza iba a ahogarla, y en el caso de que creciera, y entonces está no iba a tener fuerza para seguir creciendo saludable. Y si hubiera crecido en medio de todo, esto al final no tendremos el resultado que esperábamos.

Así es que es fundamental que a la hora de sembrar una planta de plátano nos aseguremos que está esté bien limpia, bien cuidada y que no haya ningún tipo de maleza que esté a su alrededor, ya que es que una planta también exigente en cuanto a esto a bastante espacio.

Así que, limpiamos, y listo, luego agregamos un poco de urea para que recobre fuerza.

Por otro lado, vimos otro detalle mal trabajo en la siembra de estos colinos, o hijos.

*No deben sembrarse y que el pseudo tallo quede en gran medida debajo de la tierra.

En la imagen que observamos, se nota que la planta la cubrieron mucho de tierra y eso hace difícil que ella pueda desarrollarse bien.

Recordemos un principio. Los extremos no son buenos

Asi que, no le queremos agregar muy poca tierra de modo que las raíces queden expuestas.

Y tal como se ve en la planta, no queremos agregarle tanta tierra, que abarque a casi todo el seudotallo y la planta sufra de estrés.

Mi recomendación es que el hueco no sean tan grande, de modo que podamos cubrir al menos un 15 o 20 % del tallo.

Esto además ayudará a que la planta de sus hijos más temprano y se puedan aprovechar.

En la siguiente imagen, podrán observar como se sembró bien un hijo, y como va el resultado con el mismo tiempo de siembra del otro que se hizo una mala práctica.

Y así se ve como la planta ha crecido bastante bien, pues ha tenido suficiente espacio para crecer y además para desarrollarse de la mejor forma.

Otra recomendación al sembrar plátanos.

En esta plantación se hizo una buena distribución de espacio.

Lo menos que queremos es que las plantas al ir creciendo juntas, tengan una lucha por aprovechar el sol, así que, se recomienda que estás se siembren a 2.5 mts entre si.

¿Y si no? Se corre mucho el riesgo de proliferación de plagas, y ya después cuesta mucho poder mantenerla.

Y acá observarán cómo se propagó y pues, estamos esperando para poder tratarlas.

¿Cuál es mi herramienta preferida para hacer este tipo de trabajo?

En casa tuvimos la oportunidad de crear una super herramienta, de la cual aún no tiene nombre, pero es muy útil, ya que cuando la usamos, no extrae demasiada tierra, sino que que solo se concentra en retirar la maleza, mientras la tierra queda en el lugar.

Solo consta de una hoja de metal que es la que hace el trabajo, y está sostenida por 2 piezas de hierro que junto a un base, dónde se introduce un pedazo de madera y entonces, se forma herramienta.

Demás está decir que es cómoda y ligera. Acá se las muestro:

Estoy muy seguro que estos consejos muy básicos, pero muy eficientes, harán que nuestra plantas se les alargue la vida, y además, podamos seguir cultivando el suelo, y entonces seguiremos compartiendo con nuestra seres queridos.
