English

More than just a ripple on the clear water of a river, or perhaps the fertile soil that nurtures the wheat 🌾, I often feel as though I am the clay that takes shape after a storm.
I let myself be carried along by the weather, or rather by life: I adapt and try to keep going, however much my feet slip or the finish line seems a distant prospect.
Amidst the chaos that sometimes echoes like winter thunder — the sort that holds concerts in the middle of the forest, where you don’t know if the sound exists because no one has ever heard it — I remain standing.
That water follows a cycle, coming and going without rest. One day it changes, and the next it returns. That’s how I feel: I say ‘not today!’, and then, surprise, there I am again. Lending a hand, looking after those who don’t ask to be looked after, turning sadness into joy, even if it’s fleeting.
In those moments when a truce emerges like a brand-new white flag, you get back on track and plant your feet firmly on the ground. The mud that was once so fresh has dried up; when you lift your feet, cracks remain on the insteps and footprints are etched into the earth, as if we were leaving the bad behind there to begin the good.

I am not just one part; I am the duality that exists within every being. The part that learnt to move with the ebb and flow of the water when it is calm, and the part that learnt to crash forcefully against the jetties near the beach when it must protect itself and command respect from the unwary who will not be silenced.
I am part of the earth: the one who brings seeds to life, the one who is moved by the sprouts and sees that life goes on, however harsh my changing seasons may be throughout the year.
I learnt to dance in the rain with the white raindrops, with the hail that stings the soul, and to shout along with the thunder that roars when the pain becomes unbearable.
There’s no need to feel like just a part of something fragmented, when you can experience and leap like a rabbit… one of those little ones venturing out of their burrow for the very first time
Questions posed by @damarysvibra.
Do you feel you lack the grounding of Earth or the fluidity of Water?
Rather than feeling I lack one or wanting to reflect only one aspect whilst ignoring the other, I’ve come to understand that I move through both in my own way.
There are times when my water flows so crystal-clear and calm that it’s reflected on the outside, in a rested face; but at other times the water is choppy, strong and even dark. In those moments I immerse myself in the earth, not seeking to escape — because that would be running away from my own being — but with the aim of integrating both elements without losing my focus, giving way to that flexible force that sustains the moment.
Which element do you usually act from?
I act from my own duality and originality, without trying to appear to be someone else. There are moments when I move like water, others when I am the firmness of the earth, and when chaos arrives, threatening to sweep everything away, that living mixture emerges—the one that artisans have always used to shape eternal creations.
