Quiero compartir con ustedes un pequeño cuento orientado en la percepción infantil, la mirada de un niño hacia su madre, espero les guste.

I want to share with you a little story oriented in the child perception, the look of a child towards his mother, I hope you like it.

Mi mami./My mommy.

Mi mami, ella es graciosa y se ríe cómo loca, tiene una risa diferente de esas que le salen lágrimas y hasta se ahoga y otras veces parece un cerdito revolcándose en el lodo.

My mommy, she is funny and laughs like crazy, she has a different kind of laughter of those that tears come out and she even chokes and other times she looks like a little pig wallowing in the mud.

Mi mami tiene las manos frías y otras veces calentitas, me hace cosquillas en la pancita y con su boca me resopla haciendo ruidos graciosos, se turna entre mi hermana y yo y a ratos se pone rojaaaa, creo que se le va el aire como si fuera un globo pinchado pero al ratito se recupera y sigue soplando entre cosquilla y cosquilla.

My mommy's hands are cold and sometimes warm, she tickles my tummy and with her mouth she snorts at me making funny noises, she takes turns between me and my sister and at times she gets red, I think she gets out of breath as if she were a punctured balloon but after a while she recovers and keeps on blowing between tickles.

Mi mami tiene boca fina, sus labios no son tan grandes y casi nunca se los pinta, ella dice que le gusta su color natural porque se pinta con los besos que nos da en las mejillas y la frente.

My mommy has a thin mouth, her lips are not so big and she almost never paints them, she says she likes her natural color because she paints herself with the kisses she gives us on her cheeks and forehead.

Mi mami tiene piernas largas y flacas y cuando usa tacones parece un pato que va por todos lados, se tropieza y mira hacia atrás para ver si la vieron, luego yo me pongo sus zapatos y hago lo mismo, soy un pato chiquito.

My mommy has long skinny legs and when she wears heels she looks like a duck going all over the place, she stumbles and looks back to see if she was seen, then I put on her shoes and do the same, I am a little duck.

Mi mami a veces se enoja y con la boca que tanto nos dice que nos ama nos grita que paremos de hacer desorden porque nos podemos lastimar, yo creo que mi mami es adivina porque cuando dice eso alguna de las dos termina llorando.

My mommy sometimes gets angry and with the mouth that tells us so much that she loves us she yells at us to stop making a mess because we can get hurt, I think my mommy is a fortune teller because when she says that one of us ends up crying.

Mi mami sabe curar con las manos, luego de caernos nos acaricia y el dolor que sentíamos se va rapidito, ella dice que cuando nosotras seamos mamis tendremos el mismo super poder que ella tiene ahora.

My mommy knows how to heal with her hands, after we fall she caresses us and the pain that we felt goes away quickly, she says that when we become mommies we will have the same super power that she has now.

Pero hay algunas ocasiones en que mami se pone muy pero muy chistosa y se convierte en alguien más, ella es el monstruo pelucas y la cara de mamá desaparece y en lugar de ojos, boca y nariz solo hay pelo y más pelo.

But there are some times when mommy gets really, really funny and becomes someone else, she is the wig monster and mommy's face disappears and instead of eyes, mouth and nose there is just hair and more hair.

En una ocasión el monstruo pelucas nos perseguía por la casa arrastrando un pie, mi hermana y yo gritabamos mucho y nos escondimos bajo la mesa, el monstruo pelucas con todo su pelo no vio por donde iba y pafff al suelo, en ese momento apareció mi mami otra vez, creo que le dolió la colita porque se sobaba, se largó a reír y nos reímos juntas.

On one occasion the wig monster chased us around the house dragging one foot, my sister and I screamed a lot and hid under the table, the wig monster with all his hair did not see where he was going and pafff on the floor, at that moment my mommy appeared again, I think it hurt her little tail because she was rubbing it, she started to laugh and we laughed together.

Por las noches mi mami nos lee cuentos o canta canciones, pero mi mami no es como las otras mamis, ella no canta arrorró ni menos estrellita donde estas, ella canta su música especial, dice que es del anime y la verdad es bien bonita aunque a veces le da la emoción y parece que está en un recital de rock.

At night my mommy reads us stories or sings songs, but my mommy is not like the other mommies, she doesn't sing "arrorró" or even less "estrellita donde estas", she sings her special music, she says it's from anime and the truth is very nice although sometimes she gets excited and it seems like she is in a rock recital.

Cuando estamos junto a papá mami se pone más linda de lo que ya es con nosotras, mi mami ama a mi papi, y nosotras los amamos a ellos, papi dice que mami es la reina y nosotras somos las princesas del palacio real.

When we are with daddy mommy gets prettier than she already is with us, my mommy loves my daddy, and we love them, daddy says that mommy is the queen and we are the princesses of the royal palace.

Mi mami es especial, es divertida, enojona, juguetona, llorona y como secreto mi mami es el monstruo pelucas, ese que viene todas las tardes y llega asomando la cara peluda por la puerta mientras grita COSQUILLAS.

My mommy is special, she is funny, angry, playful, crybaby and as a secret my mommy is the wig monster, the one who comes every afternoon and comes peeking her hairy face out the door while shouting TICKLES.
