Terminología moderna, ¿sabes lo que es el cringe?[esp-eng]

Siguiendo con este temática de terminología moderna donde buscaremos su significado y asi saber como la decíamos nosotros antes y así entender un poco más el léxico qué usan nuestros hijos, nietos, sobrinos, etc y así no quedar con cara de ¿qué me estás diciendo?

¿Qué es CRINGE?

La primera vez que escuche esta palabra fue a mi sobrino la cual quedó en el vocabulario de mis hijas, no es que haya sido hace poco sino más bien esto ya fue hace un año más o menos donde esa palabrita sale a colación cada vez que están los cuatro reunidos.

Pero ¿qué es cringe?, no te asustes no es algo fuera de lo normal y esta terminología nació en los adolescentes en sus charlas cotidianas y que así los adultos no entendieran lo que decían (y funcionó), un lenguaje en código así como el que usábamos nosotros en nuestra época de adolescencia ¿te acuerdas del tuyo?, cringe se refiere a la palabra vergüenza y nada más que eso, una simple palabra la cual es usada en esos momentos claves.

Ahora retomando lo que les conté de mi sobrino y la primera vez que uso esa palabra fue en este contexto, mi hermano osea el padre de mi sobrino estaba relatando unos chistes bastantes aburridos y nadie se reía, sin embargo mi hermano ponía énfasis y hasta hacía la actuación, en ese momento mi sobrino se paró y dijo qué cringe papá la verdad en ese momento entendimos Grinch osea algo que nada que ver, la cosa es que como comente mis hijas quedaron con esa palabra y una día antes del momento de ir a dormir se los ocurrió con el papá cantar una canción a dueto para la hora de dormir y las dijeron qué cringe papas, quedamos pensando que no era grinch sino cringe búscanos su significado y SORPRESA el significado apareció y entendimos qué esa canción la cual realmente parecíamos un par de perros aullando les había dado vergüenza.

A que voy con este punto y es algo muy simple, como padres debemos investigar cada palabra nueva que nuestros hijos adoptan a su lenguaje ya que como les dije este es un lenguaje en código, nunca se sabe que palabra nueva surja incitando a los niños o adolescentes a realizar algo malo, estar alertas como padres mantiene hijos seguros, y por más cringe qué nos provoque no dudemos en preguntar a nuestros hijos qué significa esa palabra ya que muchas veces la dicen sin saber realmente lo que significa.

Y a la pregunta de más arriba en mis tiempos hablaban en gerigoncio y si les soy sincera jamás lo entendí así que cuando hablaban queda colgada hasta que me tenían qué explicar qué cosa decían.

What is CRINGE?

But what is cringe, don't be scared, it is not something out of the ordinary and this terminology was born in teenagers in their daily chats so adults wouldn't understand what they were saying (and it worked), a code language just like the one we used in our teenage years, do you remember yours, cringe refers to the word shame and nothing more than that, a simple word which is used in those key moments.

Now going back to what I told you about my nephew and the first time I used that word was in this context, my brother ie my nephew's father was telling some pretty boring jokes and nobody laughed, however my brother put emphasis and even did the acting, at that moment my nephew stood up and said what a cringe dad the truth at that moment we understood Grinch ie something that has nothing to do, the thing is that as I said my daughters were left with that word and one day before bedtime came up with the idea with dad to sing a song as a duet for bedtime and they said what a cringe dads, we were thinking that it was not grinch but cringe look up its meaning and SURPRISE the meaning appeared and we understood that that song which really looked like a couple of dogs howling had given them shame.

What I am going with this point and it is something very simple, as parents we must investigate every new word that our children adopt to their language because as I told you this is a coded language, you never know what new word will come up inciting children or teenagers to do something bad, be alert as parents keep children safe, and no matter how much cringe It provokes us to not hesitate to ask our children what that word means because many times they say it without really knowing what it means.

And to the question above, in my day they spoke in gerigontium and if I am honest I never understood it so when they spoke I was left hanging until they had to explain to me what they were saying.
