Hello, friends. I hope you all had a happy Christmas Eve. Here in Venezuela and I think in many other countries, we celebrate December 24 and then rest on December 25, Christmas.

As I had commented in a previous post, after six years, my sisters and their husbands gathered at my house with my mom, my stepfather and me. It was a moment to remember, and never to forget.

Our Christmas Eve started out with quite a bit of turmoil. Preparing everything that would be made for our dinner. This time we didn't make the traditional Hallacas, but we did manage to make chicken rolls wrapped in plantain leaves. They were very good. We also prepared chicken salad, ham bread, my stepfather bought the traditional egg bread, soda, orange juice for my pregnant sister, and an alcoholic beverage called Miche.

I must say that our home is not very big, but we were able to manage to set a table and have a beautiful family dinner.

My mother gave thanks for all of us being together and being able to have this moment that she had been longing for for a long time. My aunt also joined in and we shared a good time.

With the company of music such as Gaitas, merengues, and salsas, after dinner we gathered to talk and tell anecdotes as we always do. We drank a little and after 12:40 we decided to rest. It was a memorable Christmas Eve and we were all happy to share as a family, and in the expectation of Emma, my new niece who is about to be born.
