Treasure the things you have.

Did you experience dreaming of something you want in life and then you have it answered because of your perseverance? How did you do to make it last long? Did you treasured the thing you had?

I was born in a poor family. I grew up without having the things I want in life until I got my job. I grew up preventing kyself asking my parents to buy me things like toys because I knew our status in life. That's why I was telling myself before that I will study and work hard to reach what I want in life because I don't want to let my family experience what I've experienced when I was young especially my child. I don't want my child to experience what I've been through before. Not that I'll give what my son's wants but his needs and of course, I won't spoil him with things. I will still teach him to do his job in getting what he wants in good ways.

My motorcycle is my first gift I received from my salary as a teacher. It was my dream to have a motorcycle on my own. Ny fatehr have a motorcycle before but those motorcycle don't long last. My father is not treasuring things because I haven't seen our house with things that can be called a household materials. In short, I don't want to be like him who don't treasure things because I've witnessed him destroying the things my mother had bought for us especially in our house. That's why now that I have my family, I want to be a different man from my father. With the help of my wife, I able to have things I never had before even when I was in my parents.

I treasured my motorcycle a lot and we call it "Fury". My wife also loves our motorcycle like it's her pet. Fury helps us a lot to save from commuting or on travel because we don't need to pay for the high fare. And also, we can go everywhere we like if we have money for the gasoline. And Fury is my buddy going to school or if I have any seminar in our town. Therefore, Fury is one of the best thing I have in life that's why I treasured it.

Last Wednesday, I took my wife in the next town where she gets her Nbi Clearance. It was already 5 pm when I travel to the next tiwn and arrived there at 6pm. Now, after we ate dinner in one of the canteen there, we went home. It was already 7:30 pm when we decided to travel home. But then Fury suddenly flat its tire. We're just fortunate that we didn't yet pass the crossing road to enter our hometown where there's no houses and forest like road. My wife was so worried that night because the place where we were have seldom houses and she's afraid that the near volcanizing shop is already closed. We asked a man who was walking at the road, we saw him got out of their house, we asked him if there's a volcanozing area in there place. Fortuantely there was but he's not sure if still open. I thanked him and my wife wait for me outside their house. I push my motorcycle towards the volcanizing shop and I saw that they're already close. But maybe we were still lucky because the owner of the said shop was living in the house next to the shop. And the owner was outside their garage inspecting his car. When I asled him, he didn't hesitant to do me the favor. I decided to just buy a new one instead of volcanized because we might experience a flat tire which I'm afraid my wife freal out especially that the road to our hometown is forest like. We talk 10 minutes in doing the tire check and changing. I paind 250 pesos for the job done and I went back to where my wife was waiting. When we were already traveling, my wife asked me if I have spare money because she want me to have a maintenance check for my motorcycle which i am also thinking. So, I told her that that's also my plan because it's hard for us to experience another problen with our Fury.

That's why yesterday, I went to the shop here in our hoemtown for a maintenance check of my motorcycle. My motorcycle is three years already so I think he needs a check up already. I changed the seat cover because our neighbors cat ruined the seat cover. And I just let the man do his thing with my motorcycle. I am also planning to save money coz I want to upgrade my Fury. Hopefully, I will able to save money for my motorcycle soon.

I really treasured my motorcycle because it's my first gift for myself. It's a reward for my hardships for a long time. And even if I will able to buy a new one, I'll still treasure my Fury. I still have plan to buy a new motorcycle, but that will only happen if I able to save money. For now, I can't have another one because we don't have eztra budget and of course Fury is still on the go and kicking so I'll still enjoy being my travel buddy.
