Aquamarine Movie Review -ENG / SPA-
Hello dear moviegoing friends! I hope you are very well and have a wonderful week, today I would like to tell you about a movie that was one of my favorites in 2006 "Aquamarine" which was released through 20th Century Fox Studios and stars Sara Paxton, Emma Roberts and Joanna Levesque.

Espero se encuentren muy bien y que tengas una hermosa semana, hoy me gustaría hablarles de una pelicula que era una de mis favoritas en el año 2006 "Aquamarine" la cual fué lanzada a través de 20th Century Fox Studios y está protagonizada por Sara Paxton, Emma Roberts y Joanna Levesque.
The story tells us about Aquamarine, a mermaid who after a big storm was dragged into the local pool. There she meets Hailey and Claire, she tells them that she ran away from her since she doesn't want to be forced to marry and tells them that if they help her prove that her true love exists she will fulfill a wish for them. They agree and decide to help Aquamarine prove it and to make Raymond fall in love with her and truly love her, but Cecilia, an extremely hateful girl, will do her best to foil her plans since she also likes Raymond.
La historia nos habla de Aquamarine, una sirena que luego de una gran tormenta fué arrastrada a la piscina local. Allí conoce a Hailey y Claire, ella les cuenta que huyó ya que no quiere ser forzada a casarse y les dice que si la ayudan a demostrar que el amor verdadero existe ella les cumplirá un deseo. Ellas acceden y deciden ayudar a Aquamarine a demostrarlo y para hacer que Raymond se enamore de ella y la ame de verdad pero, Cecilia una chica extremadamente odiosa hará lo posible por frustrar sus planes ya que ella también gusta de Raymond.
Despite the fact that the story may seem like a cliché, it is quite entertaining and I like it, the evolution of the characters is notorious since at first Hailey and Claire were, in my opinion, a bit immature and insecure, but after meeting Aquamarine they both mature. and insecurity in themselves. Claire, who was afraid of the water since her parents drowned, ends up facing her fear for Aquamarine, and Hailey, who didn't want to move in with her mother, finally accepts the change. This movie caught my attention since I previously knew Joanna Levesque as a singer and Emma Roberts as an actress since she previously participated in a Nickelodeon series, and I must say that both of them worked quite well to make their characters be loved by the public.
A pesar de que la historia puede parecer un cliché es bastante entretenida y me gusta, la evolución de los personajes es notoria ya que al principio Hailey y Claire eran a mi parecer un poco inmaduras e inseguras, pero luego de conocer a Aquamarine ambas adquieren madurez e inseguridad en sí mismas. Claire, que era temerosa al agua ya que sus padres fallecieron ahogados termina enfrentando su temor por Aquamarine, y Hailey que no quería mudarse con su madre finalmente acepta el cambio. Esta pelicula me llamó la atención ya que previamente conocía a Joanna Levesque como cantante y a Emma Roberts como actriz ya que anteriormente participó en una serie de Nickelodeon, y debo decir que ambas trabajaron bastante bien para hacer que sus personajes lograran ser queridos por el público.
Aquamarine is my favorite character, I thought she was a pretty funny and smart girl. Although it was predictable that she would notice Raymond at first glance, she shows him her feelings in a cute way. I also like the friendship that she forms with Claire and Hailey, since they become very close and in the end they manage to show that true love exists, not because they made Raymond really love Aquamarine but because they show that they really love her, so Aquamarine's father gives up on the idea of forcing her to marry.
Aquamarine es mi personaje favorito, me pareció una chica bastante graciosa e inteligente. Aunque era predecible que se fijara a primera vista de Raymond le demuestra sus sentimientos de una linda manera. También me agrada la amistad que forma con Claire y Hailey, ya que se vuelven muy cercanas y al final logran demostrar que el amor verdadero existe, no porque lograran que Raymond amara realmente a Aquamarine sino porque ellas demuestran que la quieren realmente, por lo que el padre de Aquamarine desiste de la idea de obligarla a casarse.
Like many films from those years, the photography is quite simple but quite good. I really liked the beach where most of the scenes were filmed, and although the story can be said to be predictable and also simple, it manages to be entertaining. The movie manages to be a beautiful story of friendship and also leaves a nice message as it shows that true love is not only present in the love of a couple, but also in the love for your true friends and that Claire has overcome her phobia of water to prevent Aquamarine from being dragged by her father with Hailey was a very tender scene since they finally tell Aquamarine that they love her and she, feeling really loved, manages to show that true love exists.
Como muchas películas de aquellos años la fotografía es bastante sencilla pero bastante buena, me gustó mucho la playa dónde rodaron la mayoría de las escenas y aunque la historia se puede decir que es predecible y también sencilla logra ser entretenida. La pelicula logra ser una hermosa historia de amistad y también deja un bonito mensaje ya que muestra que el amor verdadero no solo está presente en el amor de pareja, sino también en el amor por tus amigos verdaderos y el que Claire haya superado su fobia al agua para evitar que Aquamarine fuese arrastrada por su padre junto a Hailey fué una escena muy tierna ya que finalmente le dicen a Aquamarine que la quieren y ella al sentirse realmente querida logra demostrar que el verdadero amor existe.
It is also worth noting the performance of Arielle Kebbel as Cecilia, the main antagonist who manages to be quite hateful and becomes a very annoying and superficial character just like her entourage of friends, what I like is that in the end she receives her deserved and despite all his attempts to prevent Raymond and Aquamarine from getting closer since although he does not really love her, Aqua does make him like her and also be interested in achieving something more with her later.
También vale la pena destacar la actuación de Arielle Kebbel como Cecilia, la principal antagonista la cual logra ser bastante odiosa y se vuelve un personaje muy molesto y superficial al igual que su sequito de amigas, lo que me gusta es que al final ella recibe su merecido y a pesar de todos sus intentos para imperdir que Raymond y Aquamarine se acerquen ya que aunque el no la ame realmente, Aqua si logra que el guste de ella y que también se interese lograr algo más con ella más adelante.
I must say that the soundtrack is one of my favorites, since it brings songs from several singers that I like, my favorites are "Holiday In The Sun" performed by Emma Roberts and "Connected" performed by Sara Paxton. The record itself is very nice and I'm glad I bought it several years ago.
Debo decir que el soundtrack es uno de mis favoritos, ya que trae canciones de varios cantantes que me gustan, mis favoritas son "Holiday In The Sun" interpretada por Emma Roberts y "Connected" interpretada por Sara Paxton. El disco en sí es muy bonito y estoy contenta de haberlo comprado hace varios años atrás.
Despite not being the best movie in the world, it is quite beautiful and entertaining, very good to spend a pleasant time enjoying it especially with the family, I would like to recommend it to anyone who still does not know it, I assure you that you will not regret it and I hope that you enjoy it as much as I do, because even though it is somewhat old I have seen it many times and I will never get tired of seeing it.
A pesar de no ser la mejor película del mundo es bastante bonita y entretenida, muy buena para pasar un rato agradable disfrutándola especialmente en familia, me gustaría recomendarsela a todo aquel que todavía no la conozca, les aseguro que no se van a arrepentir y espero que la disfruten tanto como yo, ya que a pesar de que es algo vieja la he visto muchas veces y nunca me cansaré de verla.

This review brought back so many memories, all good ones, I was a little girl when I first saw it, but I remember enjoying it so much that I watched it too many times, yes it is super nice, with a nice message for the audience it is dedicated to, thanks for unlocking that nice memory for me.

How did I miss this before, I have never seen it. I only saw H2O just add water series. That's the closest thing I saw to a mermaid series but I'll check this one out, thanks for sharing

que va, no me la recomiendes si ya la vi y en realidad me gustó bastante jaja, recuerdo que ni la quería ver pero me obligaron xd, hace añales, la veía como un cliché típico, pero en el clímax casi lloré pues porque igual una de las amigas se tuvo que ir y toda la cosa etc etc, creo que la recomendaría también.
