Hello my dear internet friends who love literature! How are you? Today I want to share one of my favorite books, "It Ends with Us" by Colleen Hoover, which I've had the opportunity to read more than once.
Hola mis queridos amigos internautas amantes de la literatura! Como están? Hoy quiero compartir un libro que es de mis favoritos, se trata de "Romper el Círculo" de Colleen Hoover el cual he tenido la oportunidad de leer más de una oportunidad.
Brief Synopsis / Breve Sinopsis
Lily Blossom falls in love with Ryle Kincaid, a neurosurgeon who seems to be the perfect man, and even marries him. When her first love, Atlas Corrigan, reappears and her marriage is thrown into crisis as Ryle begins to reveal his true nature, everything Lily has built with him is threatened. She must choose between the man she's married to, who, despite his mistreatment of her, claims to love her, and her first love, who supports her and treats her as she deserves.
Lily Blossom se enamora del Ryle Kincaid, un neurocirujano que parece ser el hombre perfecto y hasta llega a casarse con él. Cuando su primer amor Atlas Corrigan reaparece y su matrimonio se ve en crisis porque Ryle comienza a mostrar su verdadero ser, todo lo que Lily ha construido a su lado se ve en peligro ya que deberá elegir entre el hombre con el que está casada que aunque la ha maltratado dice amarla, y su primer amor que la apoya y trata como se merece.
My Opinion / Mi Opinión
This is the first book I read by Colleen Hoover, and I think it's my favorite. I really enjoyed how the characters developed, and I must say I felt a bit of a connection with Lily, especially during her teenage years and her diaries, haha. Although the story is presented as a sweet love story, it addresses a topic that I find delicate and important: >>Domestic Violence<< because when women experience it, it's sometimes hard to leave, and we think our partner will "change someday". I like that Lily, after going through so much, decided to break the cycle and have her happy ending.
Este es el primer libro que leí de Colleen, y creo que es mi favorito. Me gustó mucho como se desarrollan los personajes y debo decir que me sentí un poco identificada con Lily, especialmente en su adolescencia respecto a los diarios jajaja. Aunque la historia se presenta como una bonita historia de amor aborda un tema que me parece delicado e importante: >>Violencia Doméstica<< ya que cuando nos toca a las mujeres vivirla a veces nos cuesta salir de ahí y pensamos que nuestra pareja "algún día cambiará" y me gusta que Lily después de pasar por tanto, haya decidido romper el círculo y tener su final feliz.
I really like the writing style of the book, and also the way Colleen tells the story. It becomes captivating as the story progresses, making it a quick and easy read. It also carries a message about self-love and overcoming toxic relationships, which I think can inspire other readers to be brave and choose themselves over someone else. At a certain point, the story becomes quite moving and emotionally connects with the reader.
Me gusta mucho la manera de escritura del libro, y también la manera en la que Colleen cuenta la historia ya que se vuelve enganchante a medida que avanza la historia por lo que puede ser un libro fácil y rápido de leer además, también lleva un mensaje que nos habla sobre el amor propio y como superar una relación tóxica, que en mi opinión puede inspirar a otras lectoras a ser valientes y también elegirse a ellas por encima de alguien más. En cierto punto la historia llega ser conmovedora y a conectar emocionalmente con el lector.
In conclusion, I'd say this is a book worth reading at least once in your life, especially if you enjoy romance. It's a story that tackles important themes beautifully and is truly moving. It's worth noting that this is the first part of a bilogy, and the sequel is absolutely wonderful. There's also a movie adaptation, which I had the chance to see, but I still prefer the book, haha. Although I've read several of Colleen Hoover's books (which you'll see soon), I'd say this one is my favorite, and it's been a pleasure sharing it with you.
Para finalizar, diría que es un libro que vale la pena leer al menos una vez en la vida y más si te gusta la literatura romántica, es una historia que aborda temas importantes de una manera muy buena y también es realmente conmovedora. Cabe destacar que es la primera parte de una bilogía y cuya secuela es realmente bonita de verdad. También cuenta con una adaptación en película la cual tuve la oportunidad de ver sin embargo, prefiero el libro jajaja. Aunque he leído varios libros de Colleen (los cuales verán próximamente) diría que este es mi favorito y ha sido un placer compartirlo con ustedes.
