Meet my South Africa 2010 album, the first I collected alone! ⚽ -ENG / SPA-
Hello my dear Hivers! I hope you're OK! As you know, every year when a new World Cup is held is very exciting because we have the opportunity to fill the official albums with stickers from each participating team. And since this year we had the chance to see Spanish team become champions for the second time, it was impossible not to remember one of my favorite World Cups, South Africa 2010. So, it's a pleasure for me to share a taste my official Panini album with you, since collecting it here at home has been a tradition since France '98!
Hola mis queridos hivers! Espero estén muy bien! Como saben, cada año en que se celebra un nuevo mundial de fútbol se vuelve muy emocionante ya que, tenemos la oportunidad de llenar los álbumes oficiales con cromos de cada equipo participante, y como este año tuvimos la oportunidad de ver al equipo de España campeón por segunda vez me fue inevitable recordar uno de mis mundiales favoritos, el de South Africa 2010, así que para mí es un placer compartir con ustedes un poco mi álbum Panini oficial ya que, aquí en mi hogar es tradición coleccionarlo desde Francia 98!
Something I really liked was that this year's edition included photos of the stadiums where the matches were played, which I think are very beautiful. I remember the games were truly exciting from beginning to end, and how could I forget the final in Johannesburg where Spain beat the Netherlands 1-0 and Shakira delighted us with a performance of "Waka Waka"...how could I forget that song 😁
Algo que me gustó mucho es que la edición de este año trajo fotos de los estadios dónde se jugaron los partidos, los cuales me parecen muy bonitos y recuerdo que los juegos fueron realmente emocionantes de principio a fin, y como olvidar la final en Johannesburgo en la que España venció a Holanda 1-0 y Shakira nos deleitó con una interpretación de "Waka Waka"...como olvidar esa canción 😁
One of my favorite teams was Mexico🇲🇽, because it was the first time I saw Memo Ochoa (one of my favorite goalkeepers) play and I became a fan of his 😜 as well as other players like Cuauhtémoc Blanco and Chicharito Hernández who made me enjoy several matches! One of the most emotional things I experienced at the 2026 World Cup was Memo's farewell from goal.
Uno de mis equipos favoritos fue México🇲🇽, ya que fue la primera vez que pude ver a Memo Ochoa (uno de mis arqueros favoritos) jugar y me convertí en su fan 😜 así como de otros jugadores como Cuauhtémoc Blanco y Chicharito Hernández los cuales me hicieron disfrutar varios partidos! Una de las cosas más emotivas que tuve en el mundial de este 2026, fue la despedida de Memo de la portería.
Brazil🇧🇷 has been another of my favorite teams since I was little, and although at this time we didn't have Neymar, Raphinha or Viny Jr., there were greats like Ronaldinho (he didn't play, but he's in the album hahaha 😅), Robinho or Ricardo Kaká (it was his last World Cup 🫤)...I was disappointed when they were eliminated but I really enjoyed watching them.
Brasil🇧🇷 ha sido otro de mis equipos favoritos desde que era pequeña, y aunque en esta época no teníamos ni a Neymar, Raphinha o Viny Jr. estaban los grandes como Ronaldinho (no jugó, pero está en el álbum jajaja 😅), Robinho o Ricardo Kaká (fue su último mundial 🫤)...me decepcioné cuando los eliminaron pero realmente disfruté verlos.
Argentina🇦🇷...had a young Messi who was just starting to establish himself as one of the best, and I remember that my favorite player on the national team was Ángel Di María (I was heartbroken when he retired after the Qatar World Cup 🥲). I recall that at this time they had Diego Maradona as their coach, and they were eliminated in the quarterfinals. I also remember that there were several good players on the team besides Messi and Di María.
Argentina🇦🇷...tenía a un joven Messi que se estaba empezando a abrir paso como uno de los mejores, y recuerdo que mi jugador favorito de la selección era Ángel Di María (sufrí cuando se retiró después del mundial de Qatar🥲). Recuerdo que para este entonces contaban con Diego Maradona como director técnico, y fueron eliminados en cuartos de final.
France has always been one of my favorite teams, my absolute favorite, hahaha. And even though players like Kylian Mbappé and Michael Olise weren't there yet, the team was already very good, and my favorite player was Karim Benzema, whom I also said goodbye to at the Qatar World Cup, which made me sad... I remember they had a good performance this year.
Francia siempre ha sido de mis equipos favoritos mi favorito jajaja y aunque en esta época todavía jugadores como Kylian Mbappé o Michael Olisé no estaban, el equipo ya era muy bueno y mi jugador favorito era Karim Benzema, el cual también despedí en el mundial de Qatar y me dió tristeza...recuerdo que este año tuvieron un buen desempeño.
A sticker album will always be a great souvenir of a World Cup, and as I said before, this one is special to me because it was an unforgettable World Cup, and teams that didn't qualify for 2026, like Italy and Chile, also played...it's worth mentioning that I'm not a 100% football fanatic, but FIFA is something I always enjoy.
Un álbum siempre será un buen recuerdo de un mundial y como les dije antes, este es especial para mí porque fue un mundial inolvidable y también jugaron selecciones que no clasificaron para el 2026 como Italia y Chile...cabe mencionar que no soy una fanática al 100% del fútbol pero la FIFA es algo que siempre disfruto.
