My Experience Collecting the FIFA World Cup Official Sticker Album <ENG / SPA>
Hello, my dear friends! I hope you are all doing well! I'm so excited to be back here to share with you my funny experience collecting the official Panini Fifa World Cup 2026 album, which I hadn't collected for several years!
Hola, mis queridos amigos! Espero que estén muy bien! Estoy muy emocionada de estar nuevamente por aquí para compartir con ustedes mi divertida experiencia coleccionando el álbum oficial Panini del Mundial de Fútbol 2026, el cual no había coleccionado desde hace varios años!
For some time by now, they've been releasing the album in various formats, like softcover and hardcover. However, being old school, I got the softcover version and I absolutely loved it! This year it was distributed in many places, including the Unicasa Supermarket, which is near my house, so I bought it there, along with five packs of stickers. This year the prices are higher compared to the previous World Cup, because the album cost me $7 and each pack of stickers was $2.20. The expense was a bit steep, but I didn't mind too much...and so my adventure began.
De algún tiempo para acá, han estado sacando a la venta el álbum en varios formatos como tapa blanca y dura sin embargo, yo que soy de la vieja escuela lo adquirí tapa blanda y realmente me encantó mucho! Este año lo distribuyeron en muchos lugares y entre ellos, en el Supermercado Unicasa el cual está cerca de mi casa así que lo compré allá, junto a 5 paquetes de barajitas. Este año los costos son más elevados en comparación al mundial anterior ya que el álbum me costó 7$ y cada paquete de sobres 2.2$ cada uno. El gasto fue un poco grande pero, no me importó mucho... así comenzó mi aventura.
Obviously, I was so excited that I started buying stickers almost every day. By the first week, I had collected over 200 stickers, which made me very happy. I set a goal to keep up that pace and complete the set in four weeks. Since my parents supported me, they also helped me buy a lot of packs each week, so by the second week, I was more than halfway there. I was thrilled because I had already gotten some of my favorite players, like Kylian Mbappé, James Rodríguez, Lamine Yamal, and Erling Haaland. The stickers that took the longest to arrive were Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
Obviamente mi emoción fue tanta que empecé a comprar barajitas casi todos los dias, así que en la primera semana había pegado más de 200 barajitas lo cual me hizo muy feliz y me puse la meta de, seguir ese ritmo para llenarlo en 4 semanas y como mis padres me apoyaron también me ayudaron a comprar bastantes sobres semanales así que en la segunda semana ya llevaba más de la mitad y estaba muy emocionada porque ya me habían salido parte de mis jugadores favoritos como Kylian Mbappé, James Rodríguez, Lamine Yamal y Erling Haaland. Las barajitas que más tardaron en llegar fueron Lionel Messi y Cristiano Ronaldo.
Something I liked about this album is that it also includes some extra stickers which are not part of the album and are for collecting, and I loved that I got several, especially the one of another of my favorite players, Jude Bellingham from England (I still keep it in my wallet, actually hahaha)
Algo que me gustó de este álbum es que también incluyen unos stickers extra los cuales, no forman parte del álbum y son para coleccionar, y me encantó que me salieran varios, en especial el de otro de mis jugadores favoritos Jude Bellingham de Inglaterra (todavía lo guardo en mi monedero, de hecho jajaja)
When I started getting a lot of duplicate stickers, I looked for trading spots, and what better place than trading centers, haha. Although I always knew the main spot was in Los Palos Grandes Square, the first day we went to a club, which was a waste of time because there was nobody there. However, I was lucky that a shop near my house set up another trading point because the owners were also collecting the album, so it went great every time I went, and I traded over 100 duplicates on the first day alone. I also traded with my cousin who lives in Valencia, but we did it remotely, sending and receiving through the MRW courier service, haha. It was a lot of fun, and I loved meeting people and making new friends in the process. My album started filling up quickly, and I was so happy because after three weeks I only needed 30 more stickers.
Cuando comenzaron a salir bastantes barajitas repetidas, busqué intercambiar y que mejor que los sitios de intercambio jajaja aunque supe desde siempre que el sitio principal era en la Plaza de Los Palos Grandes el primer día nos fuimos a un club, el cual fue tiempo perdido porque no hubo nadie el dia que fuimos, sin embargo tuve suerte de que en una tienda cercana a mi casa pusieran otro punto de intercambio ya que, los dueños también estaban coleccionando el álbum así que me fue excelente todas las veces que fuí, llegando a cambiar el primer día más de 100 repetidas. También intercambié con mi prima que vive en Valencia, pero a distancia fue enviando y recibiendo por la empresa de encomiendas de MRW jajaja. Fue algo muy divertido y me encantó conocer gente y hacer nuevos amigos en el proceso. Mi álbum comenzó a llenarse rápido y yo estaba muy feliz ya que al cabo de 3 semanas sólo me faltaban 30 barajitas.
Part of the adventure was collecting the Coca-Cola stickers, which you got by exchanging two labels from 2-liter bottles of soda at the Zoom offices. It was easier at first because if you bought the sodas at Farmatodo, they also gave you another red envelope. Since I got a bit confident and left these stickers until last, I had to buy the final five at the Farmatodo in the Sambil shopping center in La Candelaria by purchasing ten bottles, which I ended up giving away throughout the day, and this happened because Zoom ran out of sticker packs, haha. But filling that page made me very happy because, with it, I managed to fill the album 100%. I was thrilled to have all my favorite selections filled. Here's a sneak peek!
Parte de la aventura fue, el coleccionar las barajitas de Coca Cola las cuales se obtenían canjeando 2 etiquetas del refresco de 2 litros en las oficinas de Zoom, y se me hizo más fácil al principio porque, si comprabas los refrescos en Farmatodo también te daban otro sobre rojo. Como me confié y dejé estas barajitas para lo último tuve que adquirir las últimas 5 barajitas en Farmatodo del Sambil de La Candelaria comprando 10 botellas, las cuales terminé regalando durante el dia, y esto pasó porque Zoom se quedó sin paquetes de barajitas jajaja. Pero llenar esa página me hizo muy feliz ya que, con ella logré llenar el álbum al 100%. Me llenó de satisfacción tener todas las selecciones favoritas llenas. A continuación un vistazo!
Well, as you can see, even though it was a bit expensive (I spent about $300 in total), I really loved filling the album. The process was full of emotions, and I truly enjoyed it. If you have the chance, I encourage you to collect it! It's an experience that only comes around once every four years! It's been a great pleasure sharing it with you!
Bueno, como ven aunque fue algo costoso (gasté aproximadamente unos 300$ en total) realmente me encantó llenar el álbum, el proceso estuvo lleno de muchas emociones y realmente lo disfruté bastante, de verdad si tienen la oportunidad anímense a coleccionarlo! Es una experiencia que se vive cada 4 años! Ha sido un gran placer compartirlo con ustedes!
