Struggles
For 1990s kids, entertainment wasn't that easy to come by. There were no streaming platforms like Netflix, Spotify, or YouTube. To watch movies, you had to go to the video store to either buy or rent DVDs, VCDs, or VHS tapes. Others tried to copy movies onto their blank video tapes or discs.
I remember when we would buy blank cassette tapes and wait for our favorite songs to be played on the FM radio. Then, there we went—we recorded the song. It was so annoying when the DJ talked before the song ended! Lol!
Lyrics were not easily accessible back then. We could buy what we called "song hits"—magazines with song lyrics. If you couldn't easily go to the stores, you had to try to transcribe the lyrics by repeatedly playing the track using the play and pause buttons. Some cassette tapes or album discs had lyrics on the CD booklets, but oftentimes, lyrics were just not available.
Those were our struggles back then for entertainment, but at least we had fun.
Wednesday
I was early so I can support our sign language field service. We have a new schedule, and it's fine. Our territory has been in Binmaley, and our service has been a success.
Heading Home
We're heading home from Iba, Zambales but we have to stop by in Sta. Cruz to support the sign language field service there. I got to capture photos as we're heading home.
