A picture is worth 1000 word. The life of an immature scavenger.
What I see
A species of bird that is a scavenger, an immature individual categorized as a vulture.
What I feel
It's beak set and ready to tear apart any dead thing, an immature ready to explore.
The poor bird sits patiently as it awaits the return of its mother who has taken it upon herself to make food available at any given time.
Unfortunately, mum flew after serving the last food that she got for her young ones, but never returned. Could this be a way of telling us that it's time we begin to explore and go in search of food by ourselves?
The young bird questioned itself as he was the only one left in the nest high on the top of the mountains. His siblings have taken the bold steps of letting themselves out even though they had zero experience on how to regulate themselves using their wings but then they have to meet their ends.
The poor immature sat for a couple of 2 days hoping someone will remember him and bring him some food but his hopes of eating were dashed to the floor as no one ever returned to check on him.
The only option left is to take a bold step of courage and move just like his siblings did since their mum never returned. It's time to step up and treat myself with all sense of maturity as this is the only thing that will save me, the days of waiting are over.

He opened his eyes wide as he scanned the air space to know how he would be able to navigate his way through without being hurt. What he saw boosted his courage as he saw smaller birds do what he was thinking of how to go about.
I know I can do this but then his courage kept failing him as he just relaxed and watched.

I see the same thing as you: a carrion bird, a baby bird, a big, defenseless, beautiful beak
