The neoxian prompt #12. Coming Home

It is almost Christmas. The holiday season is mostly about family, fun and food. Everyone seems to be in a good mood. I want to have a wonderful Christmas.

This I know from my heart and the joy expressed by my siblings when I told them over the 0hone that I will be coming to spend Christmas with them was overwhelming. They couldn't help but shout out of excitement over the phone.

But then I am thinking of how I will make it. The stress of traveling is something I don't like much as traveling from my place of work to my family will take nothing less than 12 hours which is almost a day trip.

Aside from that , my younger ones have sent a list of what I should get for them when coming. Trust me considering the economic situation of the country, the high cost of goods in the market is alarming and this will make space for extra spending.

But then what do I do? The best way to make their joy complete is by getting those things they demanded.

Work has kept me away from them for close to 10 months. We only engage in video calls whenever we want to make a face to face conversation but then getting to meet someone in real life supersedes mere video calls.

When they said “nowhere like home” that say is very correct because i have to put my joy in the picket pretending not to be that excited but deep down inside of me i know i can't wait to meet them nothing on earth can be quantified with the love of the family that love tends to multiply whenever there is celebration.

The truth is that I have missed those wonderful souls and can't wait to meet, eat, laugh, dance and do so many things that will make the Christmas celebration a light and a memorable one to everyone.
